A raccoon ripped apart one of my roof vents and gained access to my attic. It was a cold and rainy Friday afternoon and everybody I called went straight to voicemail. The next day (Saturday) I found SOS Wildlife on HomeStars. I called the number and Sherwin answered right away. I explained the problem and although he was in Mississauga and told me he could be at my house (East York) by 3pm. When Sherwin got to my place, he wasted no time getting on my roof to look at all of my roof vents, made some recommendations, did the work, came back a week later, and finished up. Here's what I loved about my experience with SOS Wildlife: - Sherwin is a pro. He took a video while on the roof and pointed out everything that was going on. He did a post-install video too (I tried to share, but Homestars won't let me upload video) - He removed the existing vent and installed a one-way door, along with a little "raccoon ladder" so the critter can crawl out (don't want him getting stuck in there!) - He recommended I cover all of my roof vents with a cage material that fits over my vents (7 in total, along with the vent stack.) It was more expensive, but after seeing what the raccoon could do, we decided it was good insurance for the future. - a week later, Sherwin returned, called me while I was at work for permission to return to finish his job. I gave him the ok to go ahead without me. - Sherwin, removed the one-way door and replaced my roof vent, and installed a cage to cover it. I manage customer service teams and I spend my days talking to staff about the importance of treating the customer right. In today's world, it's hard to find somebody that will do a professional job. It's even more challenging to find a professional who also focuses on customer service. I don't often write reviews, but Sherwin went far beyond the expectations I had for service. Sherwin: Thank you for easing my frustration and anxiety during my infestation. You knew exactly what to say, and you treated me professionally, not to mention the amazing work you did re-securing my home.
