Back on November 29, 2011, I looked on homestars.com to find a pest company and called a few of them that had high ratings, including this one. He was very accommodating and was able to come to my house the same day. He put the bait in various places around the house. We had seen 1 insect in the bathroom the day before. Since his visit, we have not seen any other insect activity. He was very personable and professional.

I set up the appointment via email. The plumber arrived within the time range agreed to and he was efficient and professional. The new toilet works well. He put the old one outside for us.

The workers were supposed to arrive between 12 noon and 4pm. They arrived at 1 pm. They were very courteous and respectful. Our garage ceiling insulation had already been removed by someone else. They removed the vapour barrier which was still up. They also removed all the items that we had in the garage (lawn mower, snowblower etc.) They then proceeded to get to work. It took 4 hours. When they were done, the garage ceiling and ducts were all covered in purple. However, they damaged a wire in the garage door opener such that it could no longer open and close. They fixed it and then left. It was after 5pm and the office was closed. We were paying by credit card. They told us to call the office on monday to pay. First thing monday, we got an all capital letters email from the office about payment. It was absurd. We called the office and paid over the phone and educated the office staff on how to conduct email correspondence. This was the worst part of the experience with them - the rude email about payment - they acted as if we were trying to avoid paying. The actual workers and the work was fine. The rooms above the garage are warmer now but the true test will come in the winter.

What could this company do to improve their services?
Train the office staff on customer service skills - specifically email etiquette.
