Started off with good communications while they were reporting to the insurance company to close up the buildings damaged by tree fall and provide a cost estimate for repairs. In November the insurance company said they were satisfied with the proposed budget and informed me that I could contract Onside to do the repairs or hire anyone else as they wanted me to manage the work. In February I hired a local contractor who did the work for $6000. My insurance agent called me in march and mentioned that Onside were going to proceed with the repairs, I immediately called the Onside manager, he told me he had ordered materials and wanted to get paid. He ignored my instructions several times and in no way treated me like his client. He emailed a private invoice for $7000 exceeding the original material estimate by over $1000. The invoices show that the material order was placed several weeks after we talked on the phone and I had emailed him asking him to stop all work. I have called several times and requested from a very pleasant person that someone senior contact me about the project. That was well over 4 weeks ago.
