Unfortunately buying at DOr is the worst decision Ive ever made. We were looking for a peaceful retirement condo close to our daughter and instead got stuck with a nightmare of poor quality construction and unending haphazard repairs by unsupervised trade workers mismanaged by customer care personnel who are unsuited for their jobs. The result is a year and a half of wasted time with no end in sight, construction dirt and dust that is a health risk and anxiety and stress instead of enjoyment. We started with PDI of 130+ items and ended up with the current list of 66+ items. We finally have Tarion conciliation scheduled for May 21 2024. The most recent example is the email trail of me asking VP of Customer Services to send back the cleaners to complete the job after ceiling repair. This email led to a heated conversation with ceiling repair team who showed up instead of the cleaners and accused my husband of being entitled, causing problems to a lot of people and telling him that he should of moved the furniture himself. Fernbrook construction is poor, customer service team is useless and will try to intimidate you. Tarion is of little help, their process is very slow and the tolerance level allows so many defects that nothing gets fixed. DO NOT buy from Fernbrook!
