When my furnace broke down a few years ago, I needed some parts to fix it. Some shops would not sell to general public. Hargrave was not only willing to sell, but one of the techs offered to meet me after hours so I could get it sooner! He was super helpful and gave me some good tips. When that furnace needed replacement, I knew I would by from Hargrave and didn't even bother to compare prices with other shops. That same tech came to visit and he remembered me. He was super knowledgeable and explained the difference between economy and premium models. Being an engineer, I really appreciated knowing what I would get for the extra cost. My main concerns were AC noise since we have a pool. Our old A/C unit was loud like a jet engine. We would shut it off when outside by the pool. We decided to go top end and are totally satisfied. A/C is quiet. Heating and cooling is noticeably more effective in every room, just like the tech/sales explained. Hargrave's financing option made it easy to afford the premium models too. I later compared prices with my inlaws who also had to replace furnace and AC. I did pay a little more, but the equipment we got is A LOT better. It's difficult to compare the two packages. I like Hargrave because they try so hard to keep my family comfortable. When my furnace broke down, they answered the phone during off hours. I was expecting an answering machine. They even offered to visit right away! Again, the visiting tech was very experienced and clearly explained to me his diagnosis.... cracked heat exchanger. I'm very happy that I found this place.

I've used Hargrave in the past for some parts. I like DIY and they were super helpful getting the right parts - which were in stock and getting them to me after hours so my family didn't have to be cold. When my furnace was acting up, I called them and they arranged to meet me ASAP... That meant coming to my house super early in the morning to fit us in.... The technician explained to me what the problem was (cracked heat exchanger) and the symptoms that brought him to this conclusion. Hargrave quoted me some options and because of their excellent service, I didn't want to shop around. Being an Engineer and a cheapo, I typically won't buy the most expensive option. But I was curious asked what the differences and benefits are. They obviously know their product and I can appreciate the premium product. The quality of the installation is excellent. I like how the technicians were very detailed and clean. They tucked in the piping so I had to look for it. Furnace was taped up to prevent leaks. If you choose Hargrave, I think you will be very happy.
