I had a couple of masonry repairs around the house. I used Homestar to request quote. Jason quickly responded with his interest. He visited the site, and did a review of the repairs to be completed. The brick window sills were weathered and was to be replaced with stone, the fireplace cap (brick was to be replaced with stone cap), and patio step was crumbling and had to be repaired. Jason and team arrived on the scheduled date. They were running late but he kept me informed. The team quickly assembled the scaffolding, and went about effecting the repairs. They completed the task a day early, cause they added extra team member. The property was left tidy and clean. Job well done. Thank you.

They have been in business for a year, and a month on HomeStars, hence this is their first review. Decided to go with the sliding shower door. As it was a standard opening, inventory was on hand. I was seeking to renovate our basement, and replacing the dated carpet. I wasn't too fond of the engineered hardwood due to cost, work effort, etc. This was a DIYer reno. Walking through the Home Show, I came across Invision. At the time, I didn't meet with Dov or Roy, but met another colleague who was the hard wood flooring installer. We had heard about vinyl flooring. There was no hesitation to point us to the vinyl flooring with cork. This provided the durability, sustainability, ease of installation, and met our budget. Months later, we visited the showroom, and Roy pointed out the Vinyl flooring and the variety of available designs. We decided on using the same flooring in the bathroom vs tiles, as this would avoid having to use radiant heating on the tile floors. The design of the bathroom flooring tied into the bath tiles, and the rest of the basement. As most of the reviewers have stated, Roy (and Dov) are very easy to work with. There wasn't a take it and leave it attitude, that is common in the industry. Roy would make suggestions and take the time to show the results using the floor samples. We landed on the design, and paid a deposit to secure the order. Balance was paid to Invision for the order to be available. In my situation, the city permit took longer than planned. Roy was willing to store the flooring for a couple of weeks, until required. Pro: easy to work with, and they will spend the time with you. They know their stuff, and will provide valuable suggestion. Ours was a DIY flooring replacement, but we will consider Invision when I am ready to replace the carpeting upstairs. Cons: these are more for the reader awareness, rather than Cons. Your time is valuable. Book an appointment, although we were lucky that it was not too busy when we visited. They are closed on long weekends.. They value their family weekends, just like most of us. For the DIYer, they do not stock inventory, so you will need to account for this if additional material is required. Thanks Roy and Dov.

From the first visit by Tamin to the completion of the install, by Tony and Johnathan, I am very impressed with Home Stars customer service. A voicemail left for Tamin, was answered promptly. Tamin took me through the options, pricing, and financing available. Quotation and install date was handled through emails, which I preferred. Tony and Johnathan arrived at the scheduled date and time. After surveying the layout, they made suggestions that avoiding any opening of my basement ceiling, bonus. Professional installation, and clean up.
