I called Julian for a non functioning central vac system that was in the house when we moved in. He came the same day and recommended a replacement unit. The old one was definitely ancient, in poor shape and not working. He also replaced the kick plate in the kitchen. He did it quickly and I believe he charged me a fair price. The next day, the kick plate didn't work. Julian offered to come right away to fix it. Imagine my embarrassment when it worked just fine. I still don't know why it didn't work that day but I think it was user error? He checked our whole system again to make sure I wouldn't have to call him back. I've looked through the many glowing reviews here. I beleive they are accurate. I would absolutely recommend Julian. Don't hesitate, just call him...

We worked with Space Converters in Autumn 2010. It was our first major renovation. We knocked down the wall between the kitchen & dining, completely gutted and renovated the kitchen, a bathroom and a powder room. In the beginning, I found the quote from space converters high. But, with hindsight, I'm glad we carried through with them. In the end, the job cost what they said it would cost. We added a few extras along the way, they were discussed at the time and there weren't any surprises as far as the bill went. As far as timing, they were on time or ahead of schedule and finished within the window that they'd promised. We had a great experience with the team. Mike and Brian are extremely professional. I agree with other reviewers that Mike is a better listener and communicator (sorry Brian). But, I felt very comfortable with both of them and my instincts correctly told me they were trustworthy from the initial meeting. Mike was really reassuring throughout the process, I truly believed him when he said that he wouldn't be happy unless we were happy, he backed it up with his actions and attitude. Adam, Greg, Wally, Tom, the entire team were all very pleasant and very professional. We lived here throughout the reno and appreciated that they took time to tidy up at the end of every work day. You can see in the quality of everything they do, that this is a group of people that takes pride in their work. You want people like that working on your home, at least I do... I am happy to recommend Space Converters after the awesome experience we had with them. They will be our first call for our next renovation.
