I have been an Alarm Force customer for 4 years and recently upgraded my system from their basic service to their command package. The new equipment is nice and includes cameras and upgraded wall pads. Installation was okay. The installer didn't really take too much time to install things over existing product holes and so there's a little patch work that I have to do cover the screw holes from the old equipment or hide wires etc. For instance, he only covered the hole where the old wall pad was located with a wall plate when I asked him to do so. Had I not asked, he would have likely left it wide open, like a roughed-in opening of an electrical wall outlet. The wall repairs are minor, not a huge deal, but if I was doing the install myself I would have tried to cover as much of the existing holes as possible. The old system I had was often faulty too. The mobile app would often not work and would require a reset of the Dlink before coming back online and being accessible through my phone. We'll see how well this new system works, as I was assured that it was an "upgrade." Pretty good value for money though, compared to other similar systems out there. I recently had a visit from a rep of another company offering home alarm systems and the cost for a similar system that I got from Alarmforce was about 20% more per month with the other company, so I decided to give Alarmforce a second try. This other company has some nicer cameras (with audio) so I would hope that Alarmforce catches up with some of the other tech that's out there nowadays... All in all, we've had some good experiences with Alarmforce and some annoying experiences too. Are they the best system out there? IMO, no. But are they the best bang for buck? I would say so.
