Contacted Kevin after he was recommended by another electrician as "the guy" who could repair electric heated floors. The person recommending him is qualified as well, and has done this type of work for many years, but said Kevin at KDL Electric in Calgary was "the best in the business" when it came to in-floor heating installation and repairs. We were facing a time issue as we had travel plans, when we experienced a roof leak. This ended up affecting our in-floor heating system which required special attention. Kevin came as soon as he was contacted, arrived at our home, fixed the problem 100% in no time, and did all kinds of tests to assure us the issue was fixed. He is extremely personable, very professional, and works quickly and efficiently, and charges very fair rates, especially for a master electrician. We highly recommend him for any electrical work required. He informed us he has an excellent group of individuals who work for him as well, so clearly, he is capable of handling both small, and larger jobs.

Our garage door would not function. Chain failed to connect to chain connector. Could not get it to work. Called Stampede Overhead Doors, spoke to Jeff. He arranged to have someone come out the next day to inspect. Suggested they may be able to fix it quickly. Randy arrived the next day precisely on time, and quickly diagnosed the problem, showing me where a part had broken off the trolley, explaining why I was unable to reconnect the chain to the trolley. Randy offered a few solutions, including repairing the trolley, but it made more sense to me to replace the unit, given the "weak link" of the plastic component in the trolley, and not wishing to have the same part break again (unit had only 2 years of use on it - Marantec 4700e). Randy arranged to replace the unit on the spot, charged an extremely fair price, and completed the job promptly. He was aware that we had an appointment to be at in 1 1/2 hours, and said he could complete the job and have us on our way in time, which he did. I was extremely impressed with the individuals I spoke to at Stampede. One last point...having had 7 feet of water in our home during the flood, we were subjected to extremely corrupt trades people offering their services at many times the normal rate. Randy told me that they NEVER raised their prices, and in fact, were very sympathetic to those who were affected by the Calgary flooding, and that they worked diligently to assist homeowners. These guys are great, and I will have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who asks who the best in town is to address any garage door issues. One last point - Thanks to Randy's expertise, our door fits tighter now than ever, due to his meticulous work to ensure the door closed as it should, without allowing gaps to exist.
