Quality Pete in Burlington

We used City Boxes to rent 60 boxes for 2 weeks to help with a move from Toronto to Burlington. Andrew was great to deal with - he has a passion for his business and is great when it comes to offering advice/suggestions to make packing and moving easier. I've used FrogBox in the past and although I was happy with their service, I would rank City Boxes a notch above. The boxes are basically the same, but the dolly, packing materials and service from City Boxes are superior.

We had our floors restained so there was a lot of dust from the sanding. We wanted to get our vents cleaned to make sure dust wasn't in the system. Stephan was easy to deal with, worked efficiently and pricing was reasonable.

Sokol was amazing to work with. He's a true pro. Not only is he great in terms of his professionalism in communicating and keeping his promises, but his work is fantastic as well. We hired Revolution painting to paint all the walls in our new home (about 2500 sq ft). We were on a strict timetable so we had no flexibility in terms of when we needed it done by. Not only did Sokol promise to work through the weekend to finish it on time, but he was able to finish everything 3 days early. The work is top notch and they definitely pay attention to all the little details. Unfortunately we hired them for the walls only and thought the crown moldings, doors and trim looked ok and didn't need to be done, however now with the new paint on the walls they stick out like a sore thumb and look yellow. We will be getting a quote from Revolution to have this done as well.

We hired Rent-a-son for a move from Toronto to Burlington. We're doing it in two parts in order to make it a little easier. They just came yesterday for the first step, where they cleaned out our storage lockers and took a few items of furniture and boxes from our condo. This will be stored in their storage facilities until the actual moving date at which time they will load it up on the truck before heading back to our condo to get everything else. Obviously this review is a little premature since they haven't completed the full service, however I was impressed with part 1. You can tell this company takes pride in the service they provide and as a whole it's a professionally run organization. It's a far different experience than our last movers. Corey, Adjei and Dennis S. were our movers. They worked quickly and our items were properly cared for. Compared to our last movers who seemed to take a break every 30 minutes these guys were miles ahead of them. Not sure who we'll be working with for the final move but we would be happy if it was the same team as they were great.
