10/10

Got home from a 2wk. vacay to a dishwasher without lights or power. Toronto flooded, thunderstorms and power outs while I was away so I flicked breaker off-on, still no power for the dishwasher so I bought a multimeter and a replacement breaker. Tested the old breaker - still good so no need for the new replacement breaker. I shopped around for a appliance tech and made tentative appointments as none were available for same day service until I found my man John from Quick Fix who said he could have a tech over b/t 3pm-6pm today. $80 for the service call which would be waived if I have them do the repair. I asked cost of the most expensive part ie. control board for the worse case scenario. He checked availibility and price for the part and called me back promptly with $355 for the part alone. I said I would rather buy new. I asked him to help me troubleshoot the power source. I shut the breaker off for the dishwasher and opened up the bottom panel as well as the box plate for the hard wired power source. I found that the white wires were disconnected. John confirmed that they should be connected. I turned the breaker on and my dishwasher lit up like new! I turned the breaker off to put the wires back into its box, turned the breaker back on and my dishwasher was ready for a load. I thanked John for his guidance and help. He walked me through it and saved me $159 electrician call and $80 service call with an appliance tech. I would highly recommend Quick Fix Appliances to all who want and need honest solid lightning fast service!!! John "Quicksilver", you are Awesome -Thanks again!!! :)
