As part of a major basement renovation, we wanted a free standing natural gas fireplace installed. Bast Home Comfort supplied the Valor Madrona gas fireplace. While checking out the job, the estimator smelled a minor natural gas leak in our existing gas piping, found the source of the leak, and repaired it. They did this at no extra cost to the original estimate for the stove installation. The installation was done on time, looks good and has worked well. We might have saved a little by buying the stove at a box store, but wouldn't have received this quality of service!

Schnarr Craftsmen did a major basement renovation for us this past spring. It involved the removal of a section of load bearing concrete wall, the installation of a steel beam to replace it, removal of old paneling, framing a living area, spare room and walk-in closet, drywalling, electrical and lighting, installing a free-standing natural gas stove, flooring installation and painting. Greg Schnarr was a pleasure to work with in all phases of the project. He is a good listener as well as a solid communicator who explains alternatives and processes clearly. He worked with us to explore options and helped us find cost effective choices while keeping the quality and aesthetic values high. The quality of workmanship was high and we are very satisfied with the final result. There were a couple of minor problems along the way (when isn’t there in a project of this size?), but Greg worked out solutions with us in a calm and reasonable manner. We could have gone with less expensive options, but doubt that we would have found a better value.

A metal roof is a big investment, and its hard to know which of the products is best and who to trust. We are glad we found New Steel Roofers. We found Max, their salesman, to be straightforward and no-nonsense to work with. Compared to other companies we had quote for us, he had a wider choice of products and clearly explained the pros and cons of each. His quote was the most clear and complete, with all elements of the job listed and costs clearly stated (no verbal "ball-park" quotes). His quote for the same product was over 20% lower than we had received from another company (although we ended up choosing a different product). His crew showed up exactly on the date agreed to and finished our simple roof in a day! The cleanup was completed the next day and by the end of the week Max had met with us to do a final inspection. The new roof looks great. Only time will tell how well the roof stands up, but our experience with New Steel Roofers gives us confidence that it will deliver the long, maintenance free life promised
