Called Paul a few days before the date of the inspection and he was able to make time for us. He encouraged us to walk around with him and took the time to explain everything- which we appreciated since we were first time home buyers. He described the issues and the maintaince/estimated cost required which was good to know. After reviewing his report we decided not to close the offer on the house. Nonetheless we had a good experience with Paul and we will definitely contact him again.

There were several defects and safety concerns in this older townhouse and it was actually a little bit more above average than you typical townhouses in this area. We also considered the exterior which is typically strata concern but the strata had very low funds and cannot afford the fixes. This is going to lead to special assessments as well as paying for the defects in your house. I'm glad that you saw beneficial to walk away from this purchase and buy a townhouse in better condition.
