I called at 8am my thermostat was completely without power. The woman on the phone was very nice and troubleshot with me for a little bit. She made clear the cost of the service, and told me someone would be there between 11 and 1pm same day. At around 12 Andrew arrived. He was extremely polite, nice and efficient. He went straight to work right away and worked out the problem. He was nice enough to show me the root of the problem, his solutions and what was causing the issue. He inspected my furnace, and provided me with a lot of advice going forward. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional and very efficient. He didn't try and sell anything, didn't take his time or over complicate things, he identified the problem and solved it. He also told me there is a 30 day guarantee on the work done. I couldn't be more pleased. I started today with a freezing house and broken furnace, and less than 4 hours later I have a working furnace, confidence in my safety, and it only cost me $125. I would completely recommend the service from Appleby Systems.

My gutters were falling off my house, no exaggeration. I got quotes from three companies, and Maxima was in the middle. I have an unusual back yard, with a gazebo about 2ft from the house. All other companies wanted to charge a premium, or have me remove the gazebo before starting work. Maxima said " we will make it work". This wonderful attitude is why I went with them. My work was completed over 2 days, with everything but the downspouts done on day one. I came home to a beautiful house, no mess, and 3 very polite men working on my house. They discussed the project with me, and told me how the job was going. I was surprised with how quickly they had completed the work, and how little mess they had left. Given that I work long hours, I was unable to be home the day the work was completed, but the owner, arranged to come back a few days later to confirm the work was done to my liking, and for me to pay. I have had nothing but a positive experience from the company, very customer focused, and hard working. I heard of them through a recommendation from a friend, and would in turn highly recommend the company.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I am very happy to recommend Top's roofing. The salesman came to my house to not only provide me with a quote, but he also took me through all the various options available for roofing, and spent over an hour making me feel comfortable moving forward. I honestly don't know anything about roofing or shingles, so I really appreciated that he took the time to address my concerns, as well as putting light pressure on me to commit or not. He basically said "what will it take for us to sign a deal?" He was willing to go the extra mile in making sure I felt comfortable, and most importantly, that I got a fair price. He also managed to arrange the timing so that I had a new roof installed within a week of signing the deal. This was a huge bonus for me, as my summer was very busy with family visits, and my roof was literally falling apart. On the actual roofing day, I was told to have my driveway clear by 7am. I did this, at 7am on the dot the roofers were here. They brought a trailer instead of a large metal container, this was a fantastic bonus as I didn't have to worry about a container sitting out on my driveway for days, or for my driveway to get damaged. The guys came in, said "Hi" and got to work. They were efficient, and worked constantly. Very hard working guys! My neighbors called the Ministry of Labour for some reason, and an inspector showed up at my house around 1030am. I was concerned, but after I spoke to the inspector, he re-assured me that the company, Top Roofing, was doing everything "by the book" and the complaint was just a "nosy neighbour". I spoke to the team on my roof, and they were very nice, and understanding, and said not to worry, and that this type of thing "happens all the time". They were so professional, and not in anyway put off my the MoL inspector. My roof was finished by midday. The owner, Brian, came and inspected the work and took payment. I really liked that they were done so quicky! I saw all my neighbours new roofs getting done, and their jobs took all day, and they had a metal container sitting on their driveway for 2 days! About a week after the roof was done, there was a huge storm, and one of my downspouts/gutters came flying off the roof. I emailed Tops roofing, and within an hour I had a response, and the owner himself came out the next business day, climbed up on my roof and re-attached the gutter! I couldn't believe it! What great service. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this company. I was very wary of getting my roof done, as there are so many "fly by night" companies that seem to pop up, take your money and half-ass the job. Tops roofing is not one of these companies! They are friendly, efficient and reasonably priced. All in all my quote from Tops came in the 2nd lowest out of 4 quotes total, but comparing item by item, they did more than the two lower quotes.
