Shortly after having an air conditioning system installed I found numerous problems with the installation: - hole drilled in the foundation was not sealed, leaving an opening to the outside in the side of the home - the coolant supply tubing not properly insulated to prevent condensation build-up, causing water to pool on floor and escape into furnace - drain hose not secured to spout, causing water to pool on floor - low voltage wiring left completely unsecured and in disarray - fan relay not correctly wired to thermostat or furnace, leaving furnace ventilation fan uncontrolled by the thermostat - set furnace fan to manual mode to bypass lack of thermostat control and leave furnace fan running continuously - internal wiring of furnace left unsecured and in disarray - heat exchanger of A/C unit positioned in manner that causes ice buildup and reduced efficiency of unit - I was not informed that a city electrical permit must be obtained for the installation of an air conditioner, nor was a permit obtained prior to the installation of the A/C unit - at no time was I notified of installation issues, the installer simply went ahead with the installation - no effort was made by the business to fix installation issues - business refused to respond to questions or requests to fix installation issues - when I asked for a removal of A/C unit and refund I was flatly told "No" with no attempt to fix installation or provide alternative resolution - contacted a better known company to fix furnace and thermostat wiring, was told that furnace is now unsafe due to removal of parts by A/C installer and could not be repaired
