We have a crawlspace that is cold, full of stuff from our parents - 48 years worth that was completly covering the floor of our crawlspace. It was also wasted space as everything was on the ground. It was difficult to even go in to organize - seemed overwhelming - too full and you could not find anything. We both work full time hence the majority of our spare time is spent with the kids so not alot of time left to organize. For over 2 years we have been disposing of things (2.5 truck loads of things so far) but never seeing the end in sight! About every 4 weeks I would go in and take out something to dispose of but it never seemed to make a difference so I often ended up just closing the door - felt defeated and definitely stressed over the mess. Rick Scully - NuVo garage - provided the solution. He insulated the outside walls, installed a platform on the perimeter of the crawlspace (3 of the 4 walls)and installed a simple hook system on the remaining wall. Now we can easily see everything including floor space, useable items are easily found ... and the items to be disposed of are all organized on the platform awaiting removal. In this hectic life Rick provided some De-stressing by organizing the space so I can now complete the disposal of things and reassign the space to store our useable items (seasonal decorations, suitcases etc). The kids can now park their cars & store the bigger toys in the crawlspace. We a few simple hooks we moved seasonal items on the wall vs. the floor - everyone actually likes going into the now roomy space - that is now warm.
