This is my second season with RawlinsonCarpentry- ( porch-over done @4 yrs ago)-I called up Tom Rawlinson ( owner) very early because the boards on my 25 year old 20’ X 13’ deck were bowing badly. I thought a redeck was needed. Tom has many years of experience and his work is always clean, very attractive and rock solid. So, he and his talented assistant Tom , came out for a look. To make a long story short, the deck needed way more than a “restore”. With great detail, Tom showed me all the issues with the current deck. For example, the previous owner built the deck without beam lines ( thus the sag) and joists and boards were either rotted or too warped to reuse. Tom always tries to think of ways to save money and we discussed the possibility of salvaging what we could along the way eg: lattice etc. So I hired Tom for the job and he kept in touch via phone/email until start date ( april/2021). Once started, the deck “ rebuild” quickly evolved into a stunning , brand new solid structure - I added 2 very tall privacy screens ( with new 4x4 posts) and as the gale force winds howl outside right now, those things arent budging. Thanks Tom and Tom for another stellar job and I cant wait to sit out there without worrying about falling through the boards. And thankyou Tom for the little freebies you threw in along the way- very much appreciated. I look forward to your return in June for a new gate and deck pergola.

The tire ruts and random sinkholes in my shared driveway had created a roller coaster drive in the summer and a shovelling nightmare in the winter. i found megacity paving on homestars and gave them a call. Mark and Daniel are very honest tradesman who were always easy to get a hold of . They gave an honest estimate, a date was booked and they showed up on time with the hot asphalt . The whole process of applying the asphalt took less than 2 hours and I was very pleased with the results..nice and dark and smooth...with the edges pressed neatly against the house... The whole patch slopes slightly away from the house to help with water drainage. The end product was exactly what I wanted, so what more could I ask for?
