Literally the best painting company in the Greater Toronto Area. After a horrendous experience with a previous painter, I found Brightest In The Room and chose them because they seemed like legitimate, expert painters that didn't cut corners. That is exactly what we got - legitimate, expert painters that take pride in the work they do. We had Brighest In The Room "refresh paint" our entire house, from the walls to the ceiling and had them do our deck. They are incredible painters with a knack for customer service. We would use them again a million times over!!!

This company is the best irrigation company in all of Ontario without question. We’ve dealt with many “trades” since moving into our house and this one is by far the most competent and honest out there. They are super responsive, friendly trustworthy and most of all do the job correctly and professionally. We had them repair a shoddy install and install new zones. They did the job perfectly. You will not be disappointed in your experience with this company from start to finish.

Harry was hands down the best, pleasant, most knowledgable, professional and efficient of all the painters we recruited to finish my DIY project. He answered our inquiry honestly and condidently and came by the next day (on a Saturday) to complete it. The room looks great. Highly reccomended!

​We found this company through a family connection and boy do we wish we used HomeStars to find someone to do our landscaping work. Never in our lives have we found someone working on our home to be so inconsiderate, unprofessional, rude, arrogant and belligerent as George. While he did a fine job of luring us into doing the work with him promising us completion dates and making sure we "understand" the quote fully, this changed dramatically as soon as the work begun. The work started 2 weeks later than promised without much communication. When confronted, they said it was due to the rain and not being able to use power tools. Meanwhile, when they started it rained and they used their power tools! When we received the quote for $30,000 in March, it did not include many of the things he had checked off on his initial visits. The prices of each item on the first quote was quite high. For a 84 foot wooden fence, pressure treated brown wood with 6 by 6 posts, he quoted us at $7,900. After reviewing the quote, I asked him if some of the little things were covered here such as removing a rotted garden border and he said yes. He will always "take care of things" whatever that means. If you probe him on prices he always makes it seem like it's "next to nothing", "will be taken care of later" or "trust me". About 3 weeks ago, we sent him an e-mail to address the issues we had, including about 15 photos to support the unfinished/messy work. He responded saying that he was "disturbed" that we are not happy via e-mail. The tone of the e-mail was not pleasant. Neither was he on his visit to our property. He came with his carpenter and groundsman today and was quick to tell us that we are wrong about having an issue with the extra charges and even the issues we had, using profanities, insults and inappropriate names. A fence panel was loose, interlock was not put back after construction of the fence, cedars were put back with clumpy rocks and debris, flimsy gate was installed. His carpenter and groundsman spent the entire day fixing up the incomplete/poorly constructed work. Clearly there were a lot of issues if the entire day was spent working on fixing them! In the end, we paid about an extra $3,000 for work he said he would "take care of" when speaking on the phone after receiving the initial quote. Supplying labour and equipment to remove cedar hedging and reinstall after fence construction cost $1,735. The re-installation was really messy, with soil clumps left all over. We spent 2 days cleaning it up ourselves. George provided us with a cheque that refunded flowers that he told us were "next to nothing" but then charged us $385 for. Before he left today, he ensured those flowers were ripped out of our pots! Can you believe it? We would never recommend this type of individual to our worst enemy! While his crew fixed most, but not all of the issues we had, the point is that he did not get the work done right, did not meet deadlines, did not like to be told he is wrong, called us names, is expensive and did not communicate with us effectively at all. Avoid this company at all costs and don't be fooled by his gentle demeanor at first. I really hope no one else gets stuck using this company to find out later that charges may appear. Lesson learned here for us is that a company without HomeStars reviews is probably just as good as a company with a negative rating.

After having an irrigation system installed with another company last year, we were not happy with the customer service provided by them. I stumbled across this company here on HomeStars and called them for a quote. Nino is amazing! Right from the initial phone call a few days ago, I knew he was professional and just the right person we need to work with our system. He is cordial, courteous and extremely diligent. On the consultation today, Nino was able to do our spring start-up and assess what needs to be repaired from the interesting work done by another company last year. After searching for the right organization to replace the previous, this is the one that is the best, by far! When more work is done, I'll post another review of that work. Can't wait!

Dale came to us on super short notice to install wiring before drywall is closed up on our unfinished basement. He was super confident, knowledgeable and understanding of our needs in setting up the 5.1 speaker system and TV in the right place. Our basement is awkward as it is large and finding the correct place to place the TV was not an easy task for us... but it was for Dale which made our lives so much easier. Once the place for the receiver, TV and speakers was established, he efficiently and cleanly ran wires to the appropriate spots. My contractor came after the job was done and was so impressed with how neatly the wires were run. Can't wait until Dale comes back to install in-wall speakers and more soon!

After moving into a newly built home with some shoddy work, we knew there might be problems down the road to solve. We experienced a pretty extensive flood in our basement a few days ago and Daniel Davis Renovations came through like no other. My wife is pregnant and the worry of mold development lingered. To remove the drywall immediately, my wife looked on HomeStars and came across this company with amazing reviews. You'd think they are too good to be true, but I assure you they are true. In his compassion and empathy for my wife's concern about mold, Daniel came here the same day and ripped apart our walls from 6 PM - 3 AM! Exactly what we wanted and saves us from the potential of mold. His company is trustworthy, caring, reliable and most importantly does superior work. We will be using Daniel Davis renovations to reconstruct our basement and other projects without hesitation. When those projects come around, we will be posting reviews as well. Based on the way they went about the first phase of construction, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company for anyone looking to do what they do.
