I hired Garage Floor Guru to refinish my deteriorating concrete garage floor using a decorative flake and epoxy coating. Derek, the owner, was a pleasant guy to deal with and helpful with answering any questions. The price couldn't be touched by other companies I had give me quotes. Derek caught me off guard when almost a month ahead of when he said he was booking he emailed to say they'd be there two days later to do my floor. That certainly irritated me, as two days is nowhere near enough time to empty a garage by someone who works full time. After telling me I wouldn't be ready, he did push my job back a week. The weather didn't really cooperate during the time they were doing my floor. It has to be pretty dry when they put the coating down. It ended up taking about 10 days from start to finish, which was definitely excessive in my opinion. It definitely sucked not being able to use my garage for that length of time. I am mostly satisfied with the final product. I felt that attention to detail was lacking during the prep work. For example, there's a small chunk missing from the front lip of the floor that could easily have been patched while other areas were being patched. It is a bit of an eyesore when you first pull up to the garage. If price is your number one priority, and you're not too picky, then hire these guys. If you are picky or are looking for high quality workmanship, you may want to look elsewhere.

I hired Colson Roofing last summer to replace my roof. Scott was a pleasure to deal with and took the time to go over different options and explain everything to us. I also added a sun tunnel last minute and Scott had no trouble accommodating this. All in all they did an excellent job. The roof was completed in two days and it looks great. Scott and his helper were hard at work despite the scorching heat. They did an excellent job cleaning up and I couldn't be more satisfied. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Colson Roofing to anyone.

I hired Verdun to replace two basement windows after our neighbour had the same done on his house and recommended them. Dealing with the salesperson was a pleasant experience as he took the time to quote different options. The actual installers were a bit of a different story. They didn't do much of a job of communicating the install procedure. In the end I was a somewhat dissatisfied to find that on the outside they used caulking to fill a 3/4" gap around the window; not very professional looking. I was expecting some flashing to be used to make it look clean, but with the lack of communication I didn't know what to expect.

I hired Horizon Plumbing to do the plumbing for adding a laundry sink to our laundry room. They took the time to explain to me the different options, and overall the work was done quickly and very well. Although initially I wasn't entirely satisfied with the job, Mark took the time to hear my feedback and in the end made me a very satisfied customer. I would definitely recommend Horizon, as I'm sure they will make sure you're 100% satisfied with any work they do.
