Insulation and Siding Renovation
The original house was built in 1942 and had a couple of past renovations. The reason for the project was that the house was very cold in the winter, especially on the north facing wall. The insulation was the most important factor although we were happy to replace the vinyl siding with James Hardie Plank board and trim. As expected there were a few surprises. Underneath the vinyl was asbestos siding! And some key support beams around the house were rotted. Also as the house was quite old plywood sheets were not used and the house was covered in individual wood boards - which tripled the work of removing the exterior wall in order to spray foam the wall cavities. We had met Robert at PCL a year ago and took our time getting other quotes and different perspectives. Based on Robert's reviews on Homestars and personal meetings we decided to go with him. It was the right decision. The project was delivered on time and on quote, and the work was high quality and thorough. Any revisions to the quote ( e.g. Asbestos ) were discussed in advance and remediated the next day. Robert provided almost daily updates on progress and met many times with us face to face to discuss any issues we had. Robert and his team 'always' over delivered against our expectations. I would highly recommend Robert and his PCL team for any renovation project. We will be using him for an upcoming bathroom and kitchen remodel.

Travantine tiles and installation
Contracted for purchase and installation of travertine tiles including build up of sub floor. The tiles were good the installation and I will quote the owner Carlo's words 'were a disaster'. Tiles were installed so uneven you routinely trip over them. He send a finishing specialist over to see if they could be ground down but the specialist said they were too uneven to fix. He knew the job had to be totally redone. A very poor experience with this company.
Like most people adding an addition and finding the right contractor can be daunting. My experience with Todd Ivison and his team at Four Seasons Sun Rooms in Mississauga was exceptional. Michelle our Sales Rep was thorough and added value to the process. Rob the foreman explained all the steps and insured the project was delivered on time and on budget. Special thanks to Shane our builder and his assistant Dave who delivered a beautiful finished product - which has gotten rave reviews from my neighbours and friends.
