The best surprise this year from Santa was the magic wand waved over our floor by G and G Magic Touch. Just when we had rather given up on contractors (we have 3 properties to maintain and have had our share of disappointments to be sure), this team literally leaves us speechless... My family took notice right away and commented on the exquisite workmanship - a number of times during their visit! We are definitely relishing the new main floor. If you are looking for immaculate attention to detail, and someone who will do whatever it takes, look no further. Another pleasant discovery was the calm and warm demeanor. Let's face it: when undergoing renovations, we tend to be a bit stressed, and this team was soothing for our frayed nerves. And this despite their long hours and fatigue - better known as grace under pressure. We were told by other contractors to bring in an engineer, replace floor beams, pour thousands of pounds of cement on top of a new subfloor (a bit risky in such an old house). We saved thousands of dollars by using a new design of plank, something new from the U.S. . THESE GUYS KNOW THEIR STUFF. As if that weren't enough, Gilles was kind enough on Christmas Eve to go out, purchase and install a water intake hose for our dishwasher, damaged while being installed by another contractor (we had just bought a new dishwasher). With my family arriving for Christmas later that day, that gesture (he did not even charge for it) was a godsend. We have nothing but praise for G and G Magic Touch, and heartily recommend them, as such unusual dedication to the craft, and honesty (very fair prices), deserves to be taken notice of - they really stand out. If you want some sort of sloppy fast fix, this is not the place to call
