For a couple of months our refrigerator waterline was not dispensing water. I was contacted within a short time period and within the next business day Adriano came over to assess the issue. He was professional and determined the issue very quickly. He explained that a part needed to replaced and he could order and have it installed within the week. He came through and the issue was resolved within a timely manner. He also recommended changing the water hose line from the wall, as the one that was originally installed had the potential to fail, so we had him take care of this as well. It was a pleasure dealing with Adriano and I would recommend him to others in need of an appliance repair. Will definitely contact him again to repair any other of our appliances.

One Saturday morning, I'd noticed that the sewage in our basement had backfilled into all of the drains, including the shower and toilet. This made for a mess and pungent smell. The pump in our sewage ejector had failed and needed repair. I was in a panic to get someone over the same day, so that we could have the issue resolved immediately. Out of the 3 companies that I contacted, AwardPlus was the only one that was available to do it the same day and had the part on hand, while the others said that I would need to wait to the following week. They indicated the approx. time that the plumber would arrive and that I would be contacted beforehand. The plumber arrived on time (his name was William). I explained what was happening and he went straight to work. William found that the pump was broken and required replacement. He had to work in a relatively small space, but managed to do so and within a couple of hours it was completed. William cleaned up well and snaked all the drains to ensure there would be no issues. William was very professional throughout the process and explained everything to me which was very helpful. William also wore a mask and took every precaution to ensure that both himself and my family were safe in the midst of the COVID pandemic. I will be sure to contact AwardPlus for any future plumbing needs and would definitely recommend them to others.

My wife and I recently completed an extensive interior re-design of our home. We needed someone to do the tile work for three bathrooms and a kitchen backsplash. We went on to Home Stars and found a couple of contractors to do this work. Rodrigo was the most professional out of all of the trades we contacted. Our first meeting was great and we had no hesitation in hiring him. Due to a cancellation, he was able to start right away. We had little time to select our tile, but he came with us to the store and helped us by offering his ideas and recommendations. It made the whole selection process a lot easier and enjoyable. Rodrigo was extremely flexible and wanted to ensure that we were completely satisfied with his work. Before he would put up a sheet of tile, he would be sure to confirm the orientation and or layout. Everything was fully discussed and the communication was excellent. Overall the experience of working with Kasa Bella was really enjoyable and we are 100% satisfied with the workmanship. We did notice that some of the caulking surrounding our tub was cracking after use, but we called Rodrigo and he made his way over to repair it. My wife and I recently completed an extensive interior re-design of our home. One of the major projects included building a new heating system for the home. The existing heating system was a boiler with a traditional radiators. Since the scope of work was quite significant, we interviewed several contractors to ensure we got the right one for the job. From the moment we met George Lloyd, we knew that his company would be the best one for the job. He was punctual to our first meeting and was probably one of the most professional HVAC contractors we met. When we walked through the house together during this first meeting, he had a suggestion that while doing a new radiant system would be suitable, that we should also consider in floor radiant heating. He prepared an estimate that included both options and it showed that the in floor heating made the most sense in our situation. George and his staff layed all of the radiant lines throughout the house, installed the duct lines for the HRV, installed all of the gas lines/manifold, installed all venting, installed the boiler and HRV units, and coordinated the concrete contractor to come in a lay the concrete to in-case the lines. His team was professional and did an amazing job. All lines were fully tested to ensure that there were no leaks and that they were functioning properly. George admits that he is a perfectionist and it shows in his work. He is detailed and always ensures that his work is clean and lined up well. He worked hard to minimize the amount of space that was taken up in the mechanical room by the whole system which involved many pipes. If there were any issues, George was always eager to ensure that it was corrected right away. We highly recommend Lloyd HVAC Services for any and all HVAC projects.

Having just purchased a home, we were looking for someone to draft plans for an interior re-design of our home. We interviewed three different designers and out of them we decided Giancarlo was the person that we wanted to work with. He made a great first impression. He was punctual for our first meeting and had pre-drafted a quotation based on our initial conversation over the phone. He was very professional and offered some great insights while walking through the home with us. We also felt very comfortable sharing our thoughts and ideas with him and he was very receptive to them. We did not hesitate in hiring him to help us re-design the space. It was not too long after our first meeting that Giancarlo was able to produce a set of plans for the home. He was able to incorporate all of our wants and needs into the plans. We had requested changes to the design throughout and he was always willing to accommodate those requests without hesitation. He was great at communicating his ideas and thoughts. The process of working with him was collaborative and enjoyable throughout. We went through a couple of drafts before we concluded our plans. Our home is approximately 1,700 sq ft which includes the basement. It was critical that we create a functional and yet compact layout, utilizing every inch of space in the home. Giancarlo had some terrific ideas to maximize the space and ensure that it gave us all of the rooms that we needed. Giancarlo has substantial experience dealing with and knowledge of building codes and understanding the requirements when designing a home. This quality is valuable as it helps minimize decisions that may not be approved by the city. Giancarlo arranged all of our city permits and ensured that we were ready to begin construction by the time we closed on the property. Giancarlo is not only an excellent designer, but he is also a great communicator. His primary focus is to ensure that his clients get the design that they want. I would highly recommend Giancarlo for anyone who is in need of someone to help them create the home they desire.

I contacted Service 4 Appliances to repair a refrigerator in my tenant's apartment. I was told over the phone that the service call would cost $80, which I agreed to. When the technician arrived the next day, he assured me that he could repair the refrigerator and no parts were required. The cost of the repair was $330. Before agreeing to the repair, I asked the technician if it made sense to spend this money and repair the refrigerator. He said that the refrigerator was in good working order and once he was done it would function successfully. I also asked him if there was a warranty included with his service and he did say that there was a service warranty included. I went ahead with the repair. The technician was onsite for 30 minutes to complete the repair. I was a little surprised by the short amount of time he was there given the high cost of the service, but went ahead thinking this was a reputable company and he would do the job well. The next day my tenant contacted me to let me know that the refrigerator was not working. I contacted the company to ask them to come over to re-service the refrigerator. They did not come back over and instead told me via email that I would need a part that would cost over $650 in order for the refrigerator to function again. I was really surprised by this. The technician did not explain that his repair may not work and if it didn't that I'd be required to spend almost $1,000 to complete the full repair of a midsized refrigerator. Had I known this, then I would've not gone ahead with the service repair. The company claimed that this was explained to me, however myself and my tenant agree that the technician did not make any of this clear and again assured that he could solve the issue. I would never recommend using this company to anyone as they are overpriced and do not offer an honest service.

I called Strong Plumbing to replace the lead pipe coming into my home from the outside. From the moment I got on the phone they were friendly and quite organized. When they came to quote the job, they clearly explained exactly what they would be doing and I asked many questions, which they were happy to answer. I felt very comfortable hiring them. Within two days of the quote, they came to do the job itself. They layed down sheets to keep the floor clean. They recommended using a jack hammer over cutting the concrete with a diamond cutter to avoid creating extra dust in the home. They had the job done within 4 hours and neatly installed the new 3/4 inch copper pipe and re-concreted my floor. The place was left clean and it was as if they were never there. I had met with several other plumbers to get quotes and besides them being the best to work with, the price was also exceptional. This is one of the best trades I've ever hired and I highly recommend using this plumber.
