My wife and I hired Emerald for a move from our 3 bedroom semi (with finished basement) to a large loft downtown. We found Emerald on Homestars and they are living proof of how web communities like this can work. The entire experience was excellent - from the very smooth booking process to their on-time arrival to their "record setting" move. It was clear that Dave, Mike and Ricky take their jobs seriously and they care about delivering the best moving services in the GTA. They were extremely friendly and courteous and they went to extremes to make sure our belongings arrived undamaged. It's also worth noting that (in my view) there isn't much that would motivate a team of movers to get a job done quickly. They're getting paid by the hour after all, so why not take it slow? Also, as a customer, you're in a very vulnerable position on moving day. If you aren't liking the service you're getting, you can't really do much about it. As I said above, Dave and his team clearly care about their trade and they never fell pray to any of these temptations. In fact, they completed our move in less time than originally estimated (although we take some credit for being well packed and well prepared)! Kudos to Emerald for making our moving day enjoyable, guys. Yes, I just said moving can actually be enjoyable... I would recommend Emerald to anyone.
