I contacted Barbara based on the reviews I read here on Homestars. I was somewhat skeptical about the recommendations on this site since there's no way to know who really wrote the review. I was not disappointed.
At our first meeting, Barbara took charge and meticulously inspected our house seeking out defects and developing a vision of what would be most appealing to our target market. She was here most of the day and drove on tirelessly without a break until there was not a corner left unturned.
The very next day (I expect after a sleepless night) Barbara arrived and described her vision. We had a lively discussion. After 30 years of living in this house, there were some comforts and some personal touches we didn't want to change. In the end, we adopted the view that our house was about to become someone else's and our task was to make it as appealing as possible to the new owner. From that moment forward, we deferred all decisions to Barbara ... with never a regret.
Barbara was able to summon every conceivable sub-trade, including people to help us pack, de-clutter our house, load storage pods, master carpenter, painter ... on and on. All superior craftspeople.
Also, she recommended a number a top performing agents to interview. They were all terrific and choosing one from among them was indeed difficult.
Our house was listed on a Wednesday, Agent's Open House Thursday, Public Open House on the Weekend. We sold Tuesday night over asking.
Thanks, Barbara!
