Encore Painting Ltd. provided excellent service in repainting my bedroom, my bathroom, my sunroom and all the doors and window trim in those rooms and the hallways. Joel's work was quick and careful; he went above and beyond to do the job properly, cleaned up fully at the end of each day and was professional and friendly (both to me and to my too-helpful dog) throughout. Marlon's communication was thorough and prompt and he was quick to answer questions and resolve areas of concern. I was very satisfied with the results, with the quality of the product, the time in which the job was completed and the price of the job. My house looks fresh and new. I would not hesitate to recommend Encore Painting.

Since my previous choice no longer handles area rugs, I had to look for a new company. The excellent past reviews led me to call Green & Spotless. Alec was friendly and professional from the first phone call and offered an appointment that same week. On the day of the appointment, I appreciated that they called to check if they could come early as their schedule had changed. Upon arrival, they took care to explain how the cleaning was done, what products would be used and what I could expect from the process. They were even affectionate to my big goofy dog. The work was completed quickly; the sofa and armchair and 5'x8' rug were cleaned within an hour or so. I was extremely pleased with the service; the rug looks brighter and the discolouration is far less visible. The sofa and chair are significantly brighter as well; there was no lingering chemical odour and the fabric dried quickly. The price was very reasonable and I will certainly call this company again.

Our tiles were still fairly new, but the white grout installed by the builder was becoming discoloured and looking dingy. There are small pinwheel tiles in the main bathroom and shower, and small hexagon tiles in the powder room, which means there were a lot of narrow grout lines to address. Another company refused to do the job, stating that it was impossible to change the grout colour in the way I'd requested. I called TiGro based on the excellent reviews on Homestars. I spoke to Ramiro, the owner, and described the job, texted him some photos of the tile and received his assurance that he could complete the job in one day. He has a busy schedule, but was able to fit in my job within three weeks, which seemed fast to me. On the day of the work, Ramiro arrived at the time he'd said he would and prepared the areas for cleaning and the grout for recolouring. Since I work from home, he was careful to finish the work on the main bathroom before starting work on the powder room to minimize the time that the washroom was unavailable. Ramiro and Ronal worked quickly and carefully, kept the surrounding areas clean, and were polite and personable, checking details with me as needed to make sure they were correct. They ended up applying a coloured epoxy grout over the existing grout to colour and seal it, and it looks perfect. The small tiles are now more visible and the light grey grout doesn't show dirt from foot traffic in the way the white did. They took care to remove the silicone between the walls and the floor and replaced it with clear instead of the white that had been there, which made an unexpected improvement to the appearance of the shower. I wouldn't hesitate to hire TiGro again, or to recommend them to friends. The work was excellent, Ramiro and Ronal were friendly, professional and appropriate, and the cost was fair for the scope of work needed. I'm very happy with the results.

I've never been anything but satisfied with the work performed by 416-SO-CLEAN. My area rugs look like new, and in the past, the furniture was cleaned to perfection. The staff are always friendly and professional; they really made an effort to accommodate my schedule with the pick-up and delivery of my rugs. They regularly send money-saving offers by mail, including coupons to share with friends or family. Last year at Thanksgiving they sent customers the gift of a voucher to use on CanadaGives.com, allowing them to make a donation to the charity of their choice. This action impressed me very much and confirmed my decision to do further business with this company. The price has always been reasonable, far less than I've paid for other carpet cleaning services, and the service outstanding.

I contacted Sobol Inc because of their positive reviews on Homestars after another company failed to return my call. Archie returned calls and emails promptly and scheduled an appointment to visit my home very soon after we spoke. When he came to give the quote, he was professional and courteous, offered suggestions that resulted in cost-savings, and was patient with my goofy puppy. The window were ready to be installed quite quickly after the order was placed, and the installer was equally as friendly and capable. The cost of the replacement windows was less than what I expected while the product is of good quality. Overall, I was very pleased with my dealings with Sobol Inc, and will be calling them again in the future.

I called Capps Duct Cleaning Services based on their excellent reviews on Homestars; after having the work completed, I see that those reviews are well justified. Paul and Joe were extremely professional and courteous. It was a rainy miserable day and they both took great pains not to track water in the house, to keep the equipment dry, and to remove their shoes at the door. It's always encouraging when the business owner comes out to do the work himself and takes the time to explain the process, and Paul provided the rationale for his methods, answered my questions thoroughly and also offered some helpful suggestions. It was cool enough this afternoon to warrant turning on the furnace briefly and the improvement after the cleaning was noticeable; the stale smell that often accompanies the first few hours of heating in the fall was completely absent. I'm very satisfied with the service - it was well worth the money (and I thought their fee was quite reasonable) and I will certainly call them again and recommend them to friends. I took a dated-looking ottoman to Pat along with some fabric that I'd purchased for recovering it. Her work was excellent: fast, professional, careful, and so affordable! She made it look new and modern, a great fit for my living room. I went back a year later with a small bedroom chair and received the same quality service and reasonable price. Though I had the fabric on hand, she has an array of samples and gave me some good suggestions for colours and contrasts. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pat's work and will certainly continue to take my business there.
