Our old nearly 50 year old fibreglass garage door decided it was time to retire and so I set out to gather quotes for a replacement door and opener from both big and small resellers across the GTA. All of the quotes were within a few hundred dollars of each other for near identical doors and openers. AC and furnace replaced 09/15. Furnace works great. AC never worked right from day one. CoolFlame replaced the condenser unit on 05/18 and the AC still does not work. CoolFlame claims it's an electrical problem but never bothered to actually troubleshoot fully to verify that claim. I had a master electrician and local hydro company out to test from panel to pole to AC unit and no electricity issues were found. I also replaced the wiring from the panel to the condenser and contracted another authorized Tempstar HVAC installer look at the system and they confirmed the system was installed with an over sized coil. CoolFlame claims they install mismatched coils all the time and it's not the cause. They still maintain it's an electrical issue without any troubleshooting or proof. CoolFlame refuses to stand behind their work and make it right. Look elsewhere for competent HVAC installer.
