I called Quick Fix appliances as they claimed same day service. When the service technician arrived, he was more concerned about whether or not I would be paying him the 80.00 service call fee or did I want him to diagnose the problem. I was a little baffled with that. What would be the point in coming over if not to diagnose? He advised me that perhaps the drain (in the machine) was clogged. He removed drain spout and did something and it appeared to be solved. He told me not to get too happy because he didn't like the "sound" of the machine. He then told me that the drain pump was cracked. He didn't have any with him however the warehouse has 12 in stock so I would be contacted the next day to set up next appt to replace the cracked drain pump. No one called me and five days later I called. I spoke to an incredibly rude receptionist who advised me that someone will call when they get the pump. I told her that I had been told they had 12 in stock and she said "well they're in the warehouse and people don't go there everyday" At this point I was ready to drive to the warehouse myself and pick up the pump. I said that I was advised during the service call that I would be contacted the next day. There was no response to this. Finally two more days passed and \i got a call to book the next appt. Of course there was nothing available for over another week. When Alex (same technician as first appt) arrived, it was clear he had been informed that I had called and wasn't very happy. He changed the pump and left the old pump sitting on top of my dryer and didn't put the drain cap back on. (This is a front loader) He came to me, told me he was done and it works fine and would like the remaining 50% of the money for the bill. After he left, I realized that with the drain cap off, the water that had been in the machine leaked out and all over the floor and there was so much of it that there's no way he didn't know that was happening because it was within minutes of him leaving. And the topper? There was no crack in the drain pump. I will never again use this company nor will I recommend them to anyone. The name Quick Fix Appliance...............hmm I don't think so.
