Our garage door track shifted and a few of the wheels popped out so the door would not close. I called Markham Garage Doors about 1:15 pm to report the sudden problem and someone was at my house before 2:00 pm. 45 minutes later, the door was fixed and working as usual again. Quick and reliable service. I was definitely impressed ....again. This is the 2nd time in the last 2 years I've called this company to fix our ageing garage door. Markham Garage Doors will always be my first choice for quick, reliable garage door service in the future.

Tim came to our house around 9 a.m as scheduled. This huge TV had to be lifted up 4 steps to the main floor. Tim and his helper managed this difficult task using a heavy-duty dolly. It took them only about 15 minutes to successfully complete this job without any problems. Tim's price was the fairest of the 3 quotes I got for this job from other companies on this website. I really like their online scheduling, confirmation and reminders about the job. I will definitely contact Tim again if I need similar work done in the future. Michael in North York

I first contacted this company by submitting an online form on their website. James Perry called me a few days later to make an appointment to visit my house to check out the job and give me a quote. He arrived on time and made some good suggestions about the branch trimming of 4 trees on my property. I thought his quote for the job very fair. I called him about a week later to set up a day and time to do the job. His team (3 people) arrived before him to start the trimming job. One person did all the trimming following my instructions perfectly. The other two workers cleared away the fallen branches and got them ready to be cut into tiny pieces by their chipper machine which arrived with James Rose when the trimming was almost finished. Good timing. The cleanup was very well organized and done well. It took just about an hour to do the job. I was very satisfied with the work done by James and his team. I will definitely use their services again in the future and recommend them to others, too. Michael Skopit

Frank, the owner of this company, gave me his business card when I saw him working on a neighbor's roof about a year ago. A few days ago I called him and left a message. Frank called back the next day. I told him he could come to the house anytime and give me a quote, even if I wasn't home. He called the next day with a very reasonable quote. The work was scheduled for the next day. Frank cleaned the outside windows and spent a lot of time cleaning the pine cone needles from all our eavestroughs. He also used a blower to blow all the accumulated dust and debris off our roof. He hammered in any nails that had come partially out from the eavestroughs. All the pine cone needles and cones were placed in a recycling bag. Finally he use the blower to clean away any debris left on our driveway and back patio. Frank did a really great job. He takes his time to do the job right. I've already told him I would call him again next November. I also recommended Frank to a friend and she has already contacted him for a window and eaves cleaning next Monday.

I called this company based upon the very high scores of satisfaction by other people who also used and reviewed the work of Modern Appliance on this website. Also, they have repaired a lot of dishwashers so I felt they had a lot of experience and knowledge about them. It was easy to contact Peter at Modern Appliance to make an appointment to fix my dishwasher about a week later. The bottom of the dishwasher was not draining and I already knew that someone had accidentally dropped a bowl of popcorn kernels into the dishwasher to cause this problem. Peter arrived at my house as promised between 11 a.m to 1 p.m He was able to find and remove all the kernels from within several difficult to access parts within the dishwasher by using a suction pump and after about an hour the dishwasher draining cycle was working normal again. So now we don't need to buy a new dishwasher. Peter did a great job. Thank you so much Peter. I would definitely call his company if any of my other household appliances have a problem in the future. Peter told me that he also installs new appliances. Good to know this..

After I called this company, Bill the owner made an appointment the next day to come to the house to look at our collapsing chimney. He went on the roof to take a look at the chimney and also came into the house to look at our furnace venting and chimney liner. He gave us some good advice about finding a contractor to fix our recent problems with furnace venting and chimney liner before he could do the work repairing the chimney. We really appreciated his honesty and helpful suggestions. He gave a very reasonable quote for repairing the chimney. A month later we were ready to call him back to repair the chimney. He dropped off some sample bricks for us to choose from a week before the work started. On the day of the job he arrived early in the morning with his team and I was really impressed with how organized and efficient they were from start to finish. I asked him to do a couple of small jobs that I forgot to add to the original quote. But I when I asked him how much more I would have to pay, he said he stands by his original quote .. so he didn't charge me for the extra work he did. Bill and his team did an excellent job of rebuilding our chimney from below the roof so it looks like new again. I would definitely recommend using this company to anyone needing home chimney repairs done with efficiency and high quality.
