I requested quotes from 2 companies for a new roof and selected J. Stewart Roofing Ltd for the following reasons: 1. prompt response from John the owner who climbed the roof and gave me a comprehensive report with pictures of the current condition. He followed up with a detailed quote 24 hrs later. Most roofing estimators don't climb the roof when preparing their quote. 2. J. Stewart Roofing Ltd is a family owned business and I knew that I would be dealing directly with the owner on the project. 3. The quote was competitive. With good weather, the job was completed in 2 days. J. Stewart Roofing Ltd only uses 1 roofing crew, so I got the "A" team and Dan, Darryl & Chad did an excellent job. It was clear from observing the team that they were experienced and knew exactly what they were doing. All my questions were answered to my satisfaction and when the job was completed there was no damage to my landscaping and the team did a thorough job of cleaning up. John attended on both days and provided pictures of the work in progress as well as the finished product. I would highly recommend J. Stewart Roofing Ltd for any roofing work.

Michael at Quality First Roofing responded to my request on Homestars on a timely basis and was on site the very next day . He explained the scope of work and cost prior to commencing. I observed Michael's work while he was on the roof and can say that he was very conscientious and diligent. Damaged shingles were replaced and a leak in our chimney was sealed. Before and after pictures were provided in detail. I would highly recommend Michael and Quality First Roofing and will be engaging them when I next replace my roof

I contacted The Great Plumbing Co regarding replacement of the hot and cold laundry valves for my washing machine, which were leaking. The front office advised me of their policy re written estimate and option to proceed with work in advance. I received an email and text within seconds confirming the appointment. On the appointment day, I was notified that Jeff Wright was on his way. Jeff arrived as scheduled and proceeded to provide a written estimate while explaining 3 options for repair and replacement with the relevant costs. Jeff was professional and courteous. At completion he advised that I operate the washer on a test basis to check for leaks, which there were none. The entire process from start to finish proceeded in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Jeff Wright and The Great Plumbing Co for all your plumbing needs.

It is not often that one finds a contractor that does a job that one is happy to pay for. Well Nortown Paving fits the bill. Silvano and his crew were professional, diligent and did a fantastic job They even pointed out a curb that had a little damage on it and replaced it. The crew worked as a team and were done in very short order. My neighbours were very impressed with the efficiency of the crew and I have already received lots of compliments on the new driveway.
