Overall, we had a great experience. As other reviewers have said, Paul was very prompt in coming out to assess the work and provide a quote. The crew showed up as scheduled, on time, were courteous, pleasant and did a great job. The foundation was cut and window installed in one day--which was great! The larger window has made a terrific difference in the amount of light in the basement of our 1960's home. I would highly recommend Calgary Egress Windows, we intend to use them in the future on other projects.

A much belated review--Cal and team refinished our hardwood floors in August 2019. We have an early 1960's bungalow that has original red oak (previously re-finished) hardwood floors. The floors were generally in decent shape, but there were some spots with substantial wear (high traffic areas), a room with water damage, and another room with pet damage (soiled). There were scratches from a large dog throughout. The water/pet damaged flooring was replaced/patched, then the entirety was sanded and re-finished (natural, matte finish). The results were really quite incredible. The patched areas are indiscernible, and the floors look like new. We have received many compliments on how well they turned out (mostly from skeptics who urged us to replace them rather than re-finish). Importantly, there was almost 2 months between the original quote/booking and the work being done (due to our preference, since this was part of a larger renovation). Despite that, the crew arrived exactly when scheduled (date and time), the work took slightly LESS time than estimated, and the cost was exactly as quoted. If you've done much renovation, you know how rare that is. We would highly recommended Hatton's Hardwood Floors Inc.

We contracted Vel to create and install a custom shower door for our ensuite bathroom. Kimberley was great to deal with. After a rough description of our needs, we received a quote within hours of our brief conversation. The quote was exactly in line with our expectations. The following week, one of their staff came and took specific measurements. He was on time and professional. A couple weeks later, the installers arrived on time and finished installation quicker than expected. Everything looks great! Exactly what we envisioned. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely use Vel in the future.
