At a recent maintenance visit our also excellent furnace contractor (Richard @ Coretemp) recommended that we get our ducts cleaned and suggested Air Force. Clodoaldo (Caco) and Ricky arrived on time, were very respectful of our property and did an excellent job, even going over and above for us. I would have no hesitation suggesting this excellent service and Air Force in particular. Also the local kids who were waiting for the school bus loved the truck. We were the local entertainment :-)

This is the second time I have purchased from Canadian Appliance Source and an equally good experience. My salesperson was very patient throughout the selection process answering many questions. Once ordered, the unit was on backorder but CAS kept me advised every step of the way, including when it arrived last week. Delivery was easily scheduled and it arrived today on time. A good experience throughout.

I have a Kingsman fireplace installed in the basement that has not worked in over two years. I saw the GasFix repair ad in the local Burlington Post newspaper and always meant to get to it but weeks spread to months until finally I bit the bullet and called. Dwayne gave me a call in advance of his visit allowing me time to leave work with little time away. Dwayne quickly resolved the issue (detached thermostat wire) and performed well overdue maintenance. He offered as well to clean up the glass and I couldn't believe how beautiful it looked when I went downstairs to take a look after Dwayne was writing up the bill. Dwayne knew exactly what to do and more important in my view, was courteous and went over and above to return a functioning and beautiful fireplace to me. I can't say enough about the service and I'll ask them to return in 2 years as Dwayne suggested to perform maintenance on the unit. I would have no hesitation recommending this company.

The DC motor in our 11 year old furnace seized up last week. In calling for a repair, the servicing company considered a furnace replacement given the cost of the replacement part. Having had issues with that furnace and AC unit over the relatively short time I owned it, I indicated to the servicing company that I was going to get quotes for replacement of both the AC and furnace. I'm still waiting for quotes from that company. Having used HomeStars before, I decided to obtain three quotes and because of CoreTemp's ratings, I needed to have them quote given their perfect 10 ratings. As indicated in the other reviews, Richard called quickly after I posted a request for quote on their website. I had three other quotes lined up and Richard spent the time to discuss the ball-park replacement costs over the phone and agreed to meet later that afternoon. I met with Richard and his assistant Erik after having obtained two quotes, and it was literally night and day. Richard assessed my needs, listened to my issues with the prior furnace and recommended a solution that would work but also suggested alternatives. What really sold me was his professionalism, the fact they do not sub-contract their installs, and that he looks at things, like he says, from a technician's perspective on what solution would work best with the customer. I was so impressed with Richard that I cancelled the remaining two quotes later that day. Now for the install. Because the weather was changing, Richard was concerned about our being without heat and re-scheduled a job yesterday so he could accommodate us. He and his team arrived promptly to the second at 7:30 a.m. yesterday and worked through until we had heat again in the early afternoon. He had his "junk guy" pick up the old furnace (aptly described as junk) and when I arrived back from a business trip last night, I had a new furnace, expertly and cleanly installed) and no indication that they had ever been there, I swear the job site was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. I think it is rare in this day and age to have someone who takes such pride in his work and the business he has built. If you are reading this as I was wondering about a 10 rating - do yourself a favour and call Richard. You will soon be convinced as I was and his work product speaks for itself.

Ideal Stairs had replaced our stairs (basement and upper floors) last year and had installed hardwood floor on the landings. We had them return to do the three bedrooms. The work was completed on time and on budget with great craftsmanship. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mesh and his company for any job, stairs or flooring, that you have contemplated. You won't be disapointed.

I can't say enough about Mesh and his team. As evident from other reviews, from the initial contact to the final inspection, Mesh kept me fully informed of progress throughout. His team worked diligently to complete the job and we are very pleased with the results. When he was concerned that refinishing the existing newel posts and spindles would not look good with the rest of the job, he even offered to absorb the cost of the new newel posts and spindles. How many contractors would do that. If you need a stair renovation or hardwood installed, run don't walk to Ideal Stairs and hope that they service your area. You will not be disappointed.
