I do try and offer practical solutions when possible. Some home inspectors like to justify their job by making a big deal out of things, it makes them seem like some kind of a hero or something. In so many cases, there are simple fixes. No, I don't downplay things, it just seems to me that a lot of common sense on certain things have gone out the window. A lot of home inspectors who have no idea what they are talking about like to be a little more dramatic. I try not to be one of them.
