Looked for contractors willing to do a small job. Fewwanted to quote and those that did quotes much much more than Cutting Edge. Quotes were comparable, same method and same products. Cutting edge responded quickly, provided quote and scheduled work. Job was done exactly to what we had asked. On time, within budget and good workmanship. Very pleasant to deal with. Would highly recommend.

This is about concrete levelling, the other service provided by Clarke Basement Systems. Job is old concrete drive, installed over 50 years ago. The result was better than anticipated. Work is guaranteed and YES they do come back if the concrete shifts again. One thing I'd suggest is that customers ask for the company to include the initial application of polymeric sand when the work is done. Aside from that - good investment. I did have an issue with a gate repair when they did the work but that did get resolved and I think the customer service improved as a result of my experience.

I thought I'd reviewed before -- I've used this company for years. The repair person - Chuck - is beyond excellent. Almost always same day service, this technician is very knowledgeable, polite, explains what is wrong, offers options and advice. The only time I didn't take his advice I had regrets. He is practical, will never oversell on a solution. I have a Maytag Washer/dryer pair from 1985 - I wanted to replace them and he advised against it - still running and I've spent no more than $200 each on repairs. My fridge was 4 years old when the compressor went - he recommended that I replace the fridge rather than the compressor - I didn't & I regret it. However the compressor has now been serviced/replace three times under this company's warranty.

Owner is committed to customer satisfaction. Work is good, price is fair. I have worked with this company for 3 years now, they changed how they schedule their work so you need to be prepared for short notice for gutter cleaning in the fall-winter.

Called to get quote on annual pruning of large treed lot, removal of dying ash, clearing around hydro wires. James was prompt, gave detailed written competitive quote, scheduled work. Arrived within 10 days - on time, with experienced crew. During pruning of very large maple discovered that the entire trunk was hollow, so talked it through with James and decided to take down the tree - very sad but on consideration no other choice. Crew was here for almost 2 full days (it is a very large lot). I had asked for the wood chips to be dumped in the driveway so that I could spread them later. Because he had a full crew on day 2 James had them spread the chips for me at no additional cost. I would highly recommend James and his crew - they are hard working, polite, engaged in their work, respectful, professional and tidy. I only wish all contractors were like this!

Called because pilot light was out. Great customer service and scheduling. Imran came next morning - and we found that the previous contractor had installed things incorrectly, lost parts and left the fireplace very dirty. Imran did thorough cleaning, replaced lost parts and made the fireplace better than new (it's over 20 years old). He even added some "ash" pieces to make the fire look more natural. Imran gave us advice about how to better use the fireplace to reduce heating bills. Excellent work, a delight to have his help.

Came highly recommended, but not what we hoped for. First door delivered on time, but needed adjustment - 5 calls later was fixed. Second door took over 14 weeks to arrive, I had to keep calling to check. Patio doors installed inside out, screens opening and locking only from outside, no way to lock house, yet installers asked for full payment. We called, owner came out next day and arranged for installers to return two days later. Second trip resulted in door installed in correct direction, but not finished nicely - gap between hardwood and door leaving subfloor exposed, nails on trim not set, gaps in caulking. Company called to ask for same-day payment. Owner came out next day to address. Took three trips to complete job. Very stressful. Owner admitted error, was polite, competent and wanted to resolve issues. My biggest concern was that I had to keep calling to get my issues addressed, calls were not returned and if they were not in a timely way. Very disappointed. Doors appear good quality, but would try another company next time.

On time, on budget, 100% quality service. Immediate response to request, a very small job, so was not sure I could get a contractor (others declined). Sent photos to Alex, got quote the same day, the crew came in the bitter cold, did the work - exactly what was needed, no more, no less. VERY REASONABLE, RELIABLE, FAST. Thank you Alex and team!

Lock stripped, could not lock the door. Sent email, Tom responded in minutes, helped us figure out how to lock up for the night and arranged to come next day at our convenience. Was on time, did exactly what we needed, price was reasonable, provided advice on future needs. Absolutely recommend, and would use his services again.
