The Home Improvement People finished our basement two years ago and we were very pleased with their work. When it came time to renovate our master bathroom, the decision was easy. Once again, the team from the Home Improvent People was professional and easy to deal with. Their team of skilled professionals completed the job within the estimated time frame and did a great at accommodating our every request. We have already recommended this company to family members, and we would not hesitate to hire The Home Improvement People again for any future renovations, in our own home.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Shame on me for not doing my homework before having them come to my home for a service call. I originally hired them because they seemed like a reputable company. Their website looked good. They have several locations. They were able to come the same day I called - and should I complete the work with them - they would waive the $80 service call fee. All seemed well. Once the technician arrived, he explained to me that in order to fully diagnose the problem with my leaky dishwasher, he would need to service the machine. This "service" costs $280 + HST. He said that often times, especially with a dishwasher as new as mine, this solves the problem. Surprise, surprise. It did not. I needed a part - which they did not have in stock. The Appliance Repair Guys called back the next day and quoted $245.72 to replace my water inlet valve. This price supposedly includes installation - but the part would take at least one week to come in. A quick Google search revealed that the "water inlet valve" on a Bosch dishwasher costs about $40. So they are charging $200 for labour - in addition to the $280+tax that I already paid!? This company is SLIMY. I cannot stress enough to do your research before hiring them. The number of bad reviews on this website (and others) is very telling. I, unfortunately, have learned my lesson the hard way.

We recently had our basement finished by the Home Improvement People. The team of people working on our basement were efficient, hardworking, and professional. Most importantly, however, the work was completed with an attention to detail and we were very pleased with the results. Should we require renovations done in the future, we would not hesitate to hire the Home Improvement People again.
