We have a 100-year-old home that had the original hardwood floors, which were in pretty bad shape. We researched a number of companies and visited several showrooms before settling on Alliance to replace our floors. Lehel and Susan spent hours answering our many questions, sent an installer to our home twice to give us advice before we entered into a contract with them, and allowed us to borrow wood samples to test in our home. We're extremely pleased with the final product and with Alliance's ability to do this work efficiently on short notice and in a short timeframe. Our only negative comment would be that Lehel and Susan hire contractors/subcontractors to do the work, and it seemed that this led to a number of miscommunications amongst the various players. Also, the crew's clean-up job fell quite short of what we had hoped - the dust and dirt took hours to clean, and the installers left old pieces of trim and extra wood in various places around our house (closets, backyard). Having said that, we do feel that whenever concerns were raised with Lehel, he took steps to correct them. Overall, we're pleased with Alliance and would recommend them for hardwood floor installation.

After meeting with representatives and looking at showrooms of several companies, we settled on Ambia, not only because of the quality of their windows (we chose the Heritage style), but also because of their professional, no-pressure sales approach. We worked with Oday, who went above and beyond to give us advice on the various window options and answered our many questions. The installation was a particular hurdle because our baby ended up being born earlier than expected, so the windows were installed only a couple of days after we came home from the hospital! The crew was respectful and managed to do the job smoothly with minimum inconvenience to us. The only drawback was that they wore their shoes in the house and there was a lot of dust and dirt that we ended up cleaning later. However, we're very happy with the windows and with the quality of the service we received.
