Antonio arrived on schedule and treated the area for wasps. Noticeable improvement and very few if any wasps noted a week later. Problem solved! Thank you Antonio!

(NOTE TO HOMESTARS READERS regarding this Hampton Limestone Flamed Finish installation: 1) 2-inch Coping is used to clad the existing poured concrete step treads. 2) 1-inch Square-cut Flagstone clads the existing poured concrete porch top, door threshold and vertical surfaces such as the step risers and the area upon which the railings are installed. 3) A 7-inch x 16-inch x 5-foot rockfaced step replaces the poured concrete mini-platform at the driveway level.)
Annual furnace cleaning & maintenance check
The service technician failed to close a valve. This meant that every time the furnace turned on gas was blown into my house. I was out of the house for a few hours after the service call concluded and came home to the very strong smell of gas when I opened my front door. I called Button's and they could not advise on whether it was safe to stay inside the house or not. I ran through the house and opened all the windows and then decided to wait outside for the service technician. He arrived within the hour and confirmed it was their fault. When I called Button's to complain, the manager I spoke to argued with me that the house "was not full of gas". WRONG thing to say. I decided then and there to end my service contract with Button's.

We have reached our to you on several occasions to better understand your concerns for something that happened over a year ago with no response. After investigating this internally we have concluded we did, in fact, leave a very small leak by not closing a very small test port on your gas valve. It was also determined it was a very minute quantity and certainly not dangerous. While this is not something we like to hear about ever, it was remedied immediately when brought to our attention. We are sorry to see you go if still deem it appropriate to take your business elsewhere after many years of service. Richard and his crew were exceptional. I needed most rooms in my home painted within a tight time frame to prepare it for sale. He was on time, on budget and tidy. He worked long days to get all of the work done as agreed and then took the time to walk me through each room upon completion of the job and answer my questions. My house now looks amazing. I would not hesitate to hire Richard again in the future.
Mud Monkeys have just completed a second foundation waterproofing job on our home this year. Both times, the crew arrived on time and the job was finished on time or ahead of schedule. They showed us the work that was happening at each stage and cleaned up the area nicely afterwards. They also came back without us having to call them to add more crushed stone as the earth naturally settled. Darby and his staff are a pleasure to deal with. We would not hesitate to hire them again in the future.
Installation of high efficiency furnace and new hot water tank
We purchased a new high efficiency furnace from Button's in December 2009. Pete arrived on time for the estimate and returned all of our phone calls when we had questions later. He helped to arrange for duct cleaning and the home energy audit prior to furnace installation. Todd & crew arrived promptly and worked all day to ensure a timely installation. He gave us an orientation to the new equipment, took the time to answer all of our questions and ensured the house was clean before leaving. Thank you Button's for a job well done!
