While at work at the end of February I got a call from my Wife that our CO detector was going into alarm. As this had never happened at our house before, I decided to give Trista a call at Versatile Renovations. I told her what was going on, and she immediately sent out Joe, who was doing some work at another house at the time. He was at our house in about 30 minutes and verified that the carbon monoxide level was elevated around our furnace. To make a long story short we decided to replace the furnace due to a cracked heat exchanger. Herb, who was on a day off went straight out and picked up a new furnace while Joe removed our old one. We wanted to get the unit replaced quickly as it was -10 degrees during the day and would be colder overnight. As well, we had our windows open for some time to ventilate out the CO. When I got home from work at the end of my day they were just at the point of installing the new furnace. By 7:30 pm we were fully up and running, house warmed up and all of the mess cleaned up. I couldn't have asked for a quicker, or more efficient service call and feel much better about having that old furnace out of the house. Thanks Trista, Joe and Herb!

Versatile just finished a bathroom renovation with steam shower as well as a few other items in my house. From the very beginning I could tell that Herb was as honest and upfront of a contractor as I had ever met. It was a bit of a wait to get him and his crew on site. But now that I know the level of workmanship that these guys provide, I will happily wait until they are available. Mark was the foreman on our job and he worked like a dog from day one and was always a pleasure to deal with. My wife was at home most of the time during the reno and she said she never once saw him sit down in the 10 days of the renovation. A few issues came up during the project as they always will. Herb was quick to bring them to my attention, and they were sorted out immediately. Everything was addressed and brought up to code. His pricing is transparent and absolutely fair and reasonable. During the work I had the guys also install a new hot water tank, dryer vent, main water service valve and water de-scaler. Even with the extra additions they still finished the job on the original schedule and everything came out perfect. I would not recommend him for anyone looking to take shortcuts to keep prices down. But if you want everything fixed perfectly, correctly, and for a reasonable price, he's your guy. I'll have them back soon for further renovation work. No question at all.

We called Paul in after a circuit breaker popped and led to a couple of melted wires in our breaker panel. It turned out we had to separate a couple of high draw items that were on the same circuit. There was also some concern that the breakers were pushing 40 years old. Paul gave us options to either just do the minimum to add another outlet and replace the breaker or do the whole panel. For peace of mind we decided to go with a replacement 100 Amp panel. Paul showed up exactly when he said he would, was tidy, polite and hardworking. He finished the job far quicker than I expected. In the end, the panel area of my basement went from a veritable birds nest to a tidy professional looking electrical install. Paul scheduled the inspection for this morning, two days after the job was completed, it passed with flying colours and even the inspector was familiar with Paul and held his work in high regard. I would have no reservation recommending Panel Upgrade Experts to friends and family (in fact I have already done so). And will definitely call him first if we have any other electrical work in the future.

Keith showed up exactly when promised and got right to work. The job was very thorough and he had several helpful tips for me to get the best use of my home heating system. Will definitely be calling on Keith again!
