I've never had duct cleaning before so I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into or what I should expect from it. My first interaction with this company was with Philip who patiently answered all my questions and helped me understand the process, charges, and what to expect. Never felt he was overselling or pressuring me to go with their service. He's quite efficient with his booking and was spot-on! He said the team will be here at 11am, and on the day of service, they rang the bell at 11am! In comes Jacob and Rowan. Very friendly, neat, and courteous. I asked them to walk me through the job and Jacob willingly explained everything to me. I love it because I'm always curious but also don't like surprises. They neatly laid out their large vacuum and hose, putting proper protective barriers on the doors and corners so they don't scratch anything. They carefully sealed the vents and intakes to get better suction. I was watching them do their work and they were very meticulous. They sucked every spec of dust and dirt away. They returned everything as if nothing happened. They cleaned up well and made sure everything was tidied up. They charge fairly and will not nickle-and-dime. This is a local, family-owned company. I highly recommend them and I encourage you to support their business. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Philip, Angela, Jacob and Rowan for a great experience!

Bill is awesome! He walked me through the problems with my fireplace and he did his job accordingly. He also helped install my bbq grill on an existing gas line. He's a jolly guy who really likes what he's doing. I love that his company utilizes the technologies available to make the whole experience easy and pleasant. As an added bonus, he has a cute truck with his a caricature of himself plastered all around it. Deserves it's own Instagram account.

I've spoken to a number of companies regarding my irrigation and sodding needs, and The Sprinkler Company came on top. Not only were they the most economical, Mike was also very helpful, friendly, and accommodating with my demanding requirements. He's upfront and honest with his recommendations, gives options but does not up-sell. He also answers my texts and answers my calls, which says a lot about this guy and his company. Mike helped coordinate schedule with the landscaper, and he came to lay down the pipes right after the backyard was excavated. He did a lot of the digging by himself. I'm really impressed with his dedication to the business and commitment to make customers happy. On installation day, his team came at 8am, and a few minutes after, they started to get to work. He ran me through the scope of the work (again), where heads and sprayers will be placed, etc. His team really worked hard (even skipping lunch), always gave me a big smile, and answered my questions respectfully. In my backyard, they did a good job everything putting back, as if nothing happened. They were very meticulous in preparing the ground and laying the sod. They cleaned up well after the job was completed. Ben, the team's foreman, stayed to show me how the whole system works, including adjusting the heads and sprayers. He also inspected the pipe that connects to the faucet. He found a really really tiny gap that may cause a teeny weeny drip. He wasn't satisfied with that so he remedied it until it was fully dry with zero leaks. To wit, the following was completed: 1. Sprayers and drip hose for the backyard 2. Sprinkler heads and re-sodding from the front yard 3. Sprayers and re-sodding for the side yard I highly recommend this company. You won't regret. Fine, do your due diligence, but at the end of the day, I am confident you'll come back and sign the deal with them.

Ed is easy to deal with and honest. He provided me an estimate over the phone ... he asks you for the size of your garage (1- or 2-car) and if you have interlocking around the driveway. He was a little more expensive that the other 2 companies that I've spoken with, but I felt at ease with him. He was only $10 expensive anyway. I asked him for the procedure and material they use. This is very important as I've seen other companies do it for my neighbours and sadly, the others do it cheaply and haphazardly. Ed's 2 sons go onsite and do the job. They look like college guys, but don't be deceived, they are courteous and professional. Ed is very flexible with scheduling. I had to move my project because my landscaper had to do more work. On the day of the work, the boys arrived a bit early. Unfortunately, my interlocking stones were a little damp and they didn't want to continue unless it's dry (the tape won't stick). One of the boys said, "I don't want to risk it and ruin your new interlocking stones. We can come back and do it for you tomorrow." It's my fault because I watered a few hours earlier thinking it would eventually dry up. Anyway, I think that was a very good gesture. They were genuinely concerned. I am so happy with their work. Modesty aside, I think I have the best looking driveway of all my neighbours who sealed this summer. It's only been a couple of weeks. I am curious to see how this would look like in a few months. If it doesn't hold, I'll write an update here.

I had mild infestation at home. I found one in the bedroom (under the side table), but none on the bed. I found about a dozen on the couch in the living room. I steam cleaned and vacuumed the affected areas. Based on my readings, that isn't enough. So I decided to hire a pest control company. I've talked to 4 well-known companies yet I didn't feel comfortable with their treatment. I went to homestar and found Pesticon. They are a small company, and that's not necessarily bad. Sometimes, the smaller ones do a better job because they need to compete with larger, more-established companies. It was easy to make a booking. Whereas the 4 companies needed a one-week lead time, Pesticon offered me to do it on the same day. Of course I needed a few days to prep the house (bagging our things, etc). Then the big day came. I met Kamran. He's very knowledgable, friendly and reassuring. He discussed everything he will be doing and his strategy to kill all the bugs and their eggs. It was fun to see how he was on a mission to help eradicate these pests. He did 2 treatments, 2 weeks apart. He did a great job eliminating the bugs, and now we feel clean and bug-free. I highly recommend Pesticon! Kamran is the best! You can never go wrong with him nor his company. If you are reading this Kamran, I just want to thank you for the wonderful job you did. Keep up the good work!
