The windows in my house had old wooden frames and the opening / closing mechanisms were not working properly. I looked for quotes from a variety of companies from online sources. Two companies simply asked me for measurements over the phone and did not come by. Another company came by and provided me with a quote. However, that company did not provide me with information regarding specific technical details regarding retrofit vs stud-to-stud replacement. Crown provided me with technical details regarding the installation, and I had one retrofit and three stud-to-stud window replacements based one my (old) house's situation. I was kept updated regarding the status of the window manufacturing, and there was a slight delay, but I was well-informed regarding this. The workers were efficient and did an excellent job.
