I was impressed with the good reviews I read for this company. I also received a better cost than another company I had considered. They got my large couch out with no problem. We had boxed things well, or so we thought, The workers made some good suggestions on how to pack mirrors etc. They were quick and professional. Everything arrived fine, and nothing was broken. We were not able to take possession of our house until later than expected, so we had requested the moving company to store our furniture for a couple of months until we were able to move in.

My family and I decided to move from Alberta to our home town in Ontario. I had looked into a ton of moving options; PODS, U boxes, Cube it, not to mention every single moving company I could find online. I really needed to keep the cost down, but also wanted to make sure that I actually received my stuff in tact upon arrival. I spent a couple of months doing my homework, examined all quotes and reviews in great detail, inquired about whether or not they contract to other companies, and looked for reviews on those companies too. I asked each company a ton of questions, and then finally decided on Trans Atlas. They had good reviews, and an A rating with the BBB. They price matched another company with a lower price, and a longer free storage term. Our situation was a bit complicated as well, and I was surprised at how flexible and easy everything worked out. We sold our home in AB and did not have a house yet in ON. We wanted to take our time to look for a house. When we finally found our home, we could not take possession for a few months. We stayed with family in the mean time. It was so hard to be without all of your "stuff". I was so worried the whole time thinking that we were going to be missing things or things would be broken, however everything arrived and in good shape. Nothing was broken, so far... still unpacking... We packed things very thoroughly. The price ended up being a bit higher than we were initially expecting, however we also needed 2 months of extra storage in addition to the 6 weeks free. In the end it all worked out, without problems. The moving guys that loaded our stuff looked a bit shady, but they were really professional and careful with our stuff. Delivery was the same, shady looking, and the one guy was just trying to get me worked up, but he was joking. They were not as careful with our stuff, however nothing was broken just a small scratch on the wall. What was best about our experience, was moving without having to lift and load all of our furniture. We were able to focus on cleaning. I would recommend using their services. They may seem a bit disorganized when you call them, and the answering machine is like not your typical "company" answering machine, which made me a bit leery, however they accomplished everything we wanted with out problems, and that made us happy.
