I was quoted ~$650 for an estimated four hours of work for two people to remove metal/wood shelves, hang paintings and mirrors, and install a light fixture. The team completed the work in 2.5 hours but I was still charged the full cost. This is particularly annoying as the original estimate was for $1,200 and so I removed scope of work to get the project costs more in line with my budget. In retrospect, I could have had the full scope of work completed in the 4 hour estimate. I followed up with the management team and was informed that they don't charge per hour only per project unless it benefits Calgary Handyman (i.e., only charge a set hourly rate if they go over the time they think it will take to complete a project not if they complete it more quickly). This was the case even though they gave me an estimated time of 4 hours for two people. Bottom line: while I am happy with the quality of work and the friendliness of the team, I was drastically over charged (nearly double) . I won't be using this service again and suggest that if you do you negotiate aggressively up front.

Tora Concrete were very professional, kept the job site tidy, and were responsive to questions and requests. This team were also exceptionally hardworking. The access to my backyard is quite limited and so digging out the old cement, leveling the ground and pouring the new pad and walkway were all done by hand rather than with machines. Further, they seem to be quite skilled as they poured an aggregate pad with brushed concrete borders and walkways to match the existing walkways along the side of the house. I think the work turned out quite well. It looks beautiful and has stood up very well over the last year.
