We decided to finally get central A/C installed. It was an item on the list for years but just never got around to it. Called Brent based on HomeStars reviews and ratings. Initial scheduling of the first appointment to get sizing done and a quote was scheduled within days. Brent was at the house as scheduled and was very quick to get sizing done and a rough quote. Maybe a little too quick, I was concerned that because no heat calculations were done that we were guessing at the size of unit required. But decided to trust the professional here and his experience. Within a day I got the quote as discussed with an install date as discussed as well. Install date: Brent showed on time with his colleague and they started right away. Absolutely no surprises, at least for me. Before I knew it we had an A/C unit installed and running as well as a brand new WiFI enabled thermostat. Unit has been in place for about 2 weeks and been running quite well. Due to space constraints, we had to go with a slimmer YORK unit, (TCHD), I was a little concerned we were giving up some features and functionality by not going to a traditional square unit. Brent advised we should be fine with it as he uses 2 of them himself. So far so good. The unit is massive (4 ton) but does not look out of place or obtrusive. We know that in this case the client had done a bunch of research on companies and manufacture results. We were very happy to be the ones that were awarded this installation. The Installation was very clean and the client had been nice enough to move all the equipment out of the way in the mechanical room.
The slim line unit was the correct unit for this application and I Know that it will work in the future for all your cooling needs while still giving you the access to that side of the house.
