Scheduled a visit for last week but it rained so they rescheduled me for between 9 and 12 today. Beautiful weather. Yesterday confirmed they would come. No one showed up. I called at 2:00, nobody there to answer the phone or return email. Called the rep who booked the service, and he said he'd find the cleaners and call me back. No call back. So hoping they will get in touch with me soon, because I would like this work done, and from what I read they do good work and price seems quite good. Just disappointed so far.
So eventually they came a few weeks later, after a story about their car breaking down and not having my correct phone number. A few weeks later, due to rain delays, they came, seemed to do a good job, but once they left i noticed my front windows were still dirty, and the gutter that I could see was also still dirty. Called the company about it, and also paid them, though I shouldn't have. Said they'd send someone out to look. A few weeks later nobody had come, so I asked again and they did send someone immediately. But, they said, as the earlier cleaners had said, the front windows had a calcium buildup that couldn't be cleaned. Really, I've never had such a problem before. The guy cleaned out one part of my gutter, but not the rest. I emailed again to say I really want the front window clean and the rest of the gutters, but no reply so far, and it's been a week. Note, they use sub-contractors, so maybe their other contractors are ok, but I wasn't so happy with Hometek. Though, to be fair, they did pull down a bird's nest that I pointed out after they had put their ladder away. That was above and beyond, so points for that. The two guys who came were quite pleasant as well.
UPDATE Oct 31 - two guys just came by to fix my two issues. They scraped and cleaned the front window that wasn't cleaned well last time around...looks great now. And they cleaned out the gutters that were missed the first time around...took out a whole bunch of crap, and now I'm a satisfied customer (though I wish they had taken the bags of dirt away, now I have to get rid of them). I really appreciate the time the owner of the company took to call me and make sure I was satisfied. Small businesses like this make the effort to fix things that go wrong, and that is worth a lot in my books. Thanks for making it right!
