Do NOT use these guys if you're moving a vehicle to another country. Even tho they came in a little higher than other quotes for movers, the OWNER of Atlas/AMJ in Cambridge Ontario assured me on more than one occasion they would be able move my motorcycle down on the same truck with the rest of our belongings. He claimed they do it all the time, and would obtain all the necessary paperwork at the border that would allow me to register the vehicle in the state we were moving to. We told them what paperwork we had to obtain from the Customs at the border to import our cars, he said that same paperwork would be obtained at the time of crossing by his driver. Lo and behold, the driver arrives not only without the necessary paperwork we were promised would be procured, but the border guards even kept the bill of sale and photocopy of ownership I had provided them for the bike. According to the owner, the border guards did indeed ask to see the bike....but apparently the driver couldn't be bothered to pack it somewhere on the truck so it would be easily accessed. So they waved him through without verifying the vehicle VIN and filling out the paperwork I paid them to get.. Call to the owner the day the truck arrives....he sounds confused....says he's not sure what's going on but we're apparently not the only family they've moved that have had this happen to them THAT WEEK. He assured me he would work with Customs to get this rectified. FOUR WEEKS later with multiple emails and phone calls between us, I'm told there's nothing they can do, that they are at the MERCY of Customs when vehicles are imported on their trucks, and he's sorry for my inconvenience. Mercy? All the driver had to do was allow them onto the truck WHEN THEY ASKED to inspect the bike and fill out and stamp a piece of paper. I was promised this would be taken care of properly, now the last email I got from the owner has a sorry excuse that there's NO assurances that vehicles will be processed properly when moved Internationally with their company. Initially, the owner was willing to refund me 300 dollars when we thought my having to get the paperwork would cost me out of pocket. Now he claims that 'since this wasn't our fault', he's under no obligation to compensate me for the hassles i'll now have to undergo to fix their screwup. I was either bold faced lyed to (had to purposely spell 'lyed' wrong because apparently that's a bad word in these reviews) so they could get my business, or the owner has NO IDEA what's involved in transporting vehicles properly across international borders. I should have went with a different moving company that came in with a cheaper quote and just shipped the bike through a separate company that knows what they're doing. This is of course, to say nothing of the fact the moving truck arrived a FULL WEEK later than we were told they would, necessitating us all to sleep on air mattresses in an empty house and eating out every meal for a week longer than they promised. Because apparently, even tho the owner confirmed the truck was in our area on the day it was supposed to arrive....they 'couldn't find labor to help unload it' on that day. Couldn't find labor...in Texas. Right. More likely the lazy driver that couldn't be bothered to let the Customs folks onto the truck was also to lazy to work on a Saturday. So our truck sat here for a few days while I developed back spasms from sleeping on the floor, then left to go to another city, THEN finally came back a week later. Oh...but you can't get mad at them...they have a 14 day "window" with which to deliver your goods. So even tho they fail to deliver on the date promised, it's still 'within that window' of delivery. My advice.....don't bother with these folks. Save your money and find a company that knows what they're doing and doesn't hide behind lyes and excuses when things don't go as they promised. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go and arrange to lose a day of work to drive a motorcycle 2 hours on interstate highways to present it to the nearest Customs agency.....which is what I paid these people to do a month ago.
