Ante made some suggestions during his initial visit in an attempt to keep the costs down... no up selling which was nice. He completed everything exactly as we talked about and threw in a few extras because some things ‘bothered him’. He is a very decent person who does very good work, would not hesitate to call Monster Painting again

Brought in Reborn to demo a 70's vintage wood burning fireplace and shelving unit and install custom built shelving/hearth with contemporary gas fireplace. Bob cam out to have a look and provide the estimate - a little back and forth on the numbers and I agreed to go ahead with the project. I was then handed off to project Manager Chris Shannon who was a pleasure to deal with thru out the process. The final product exceeded my expectations, was done on budget and exactly on schedule - can't ask much more than that from a fairly major renovation. There are a few things that the contractors could have paid better attention to (hardwood floor) , but overall, 10/10 for the Reborn crew....

Mario and his crew removed an existing asphalt driveway and crumbling concrete stairs and poured in a colored exposed aggregate driveway. This was no easy feat as the driveway extends from the front of the street to the rear of the property. Mario was very meticulous in insuring that the slope was correct to avoid any water drainage issues (that I was currently having). His crew was excellent and very skilled - they took the time to make sure everything was correct with Mario himself being at site working with his team. I would not hesitate to use Mario and Concrete Innovations for any other concrete work I may have in the future - an extremely satisfied customer here

late in the 2017 building season I called up Garage Builders for a quote - Reg came out the next day and we went over several scenarios for the demo of an existing single car garage and pad and building a new one - Reg knows the Calgary bylaws very well and was able to spec out the largest garage that we could put on that lot and still be in conformance with city bylaws. After several discussion, we settled on a design and deposit paid. There were a few weather delays but generally everything went well - overall build quality is good and everything that I had asked for was delivered as promised. During the build, there were a few additions (removal of chain link fence, new wood fence etc) that were easily accommodated by Reg and his team. Reg and Glenn are busy, so it took awhile for them to address a small problem with the siding, but in the end, everything was taken care of. These guys are basically a no BS company, did not try and upsell anything, knew their business and laid out exactly what I would/wouldn't get -

During the last big storm the eavestroughs were flowing over on the house, after a quick cleaning of the downspouts, it was apparent that I needed help.... after a quick search on home stars I picked 'The Gutter Patrol' due to their high star value and recommendations. Moe picked up the phone and was at my house in about an hour to do any temporary repairs required to 'weather the storm'. He gave me a quote to fix the existing eaves as well as a total replacement... I chose replacement. Moe gave me a date, arrived on that date and completed the whole roof with new downspouts in an afternoon for a great price. Moe is a great guy as well as an honest contractor.... I would highly recommend Moe and the Gutter Patrol for any eavstrough/downspout needs James Cody

I signed up for monthly snow removal from 'Your Window Guys' and definitely got my money's worth.... these guys were great, cleared the walks and driveway within hours after any snowfall... will definitely use them again next season

My tenant informed me that the sewer was backing up in the house, I contacted Chung after finding him on homestars - he not only agreed to the after hours service call, but he arrived within 45 minutes. He removed some tree roots that had penetrated into the underground service line - as well as providing guidance on when to perform this service again. this was all done via the telephone as I work overseas - I would not hesitate to use Chang again for any plumbing/HVAC needs - Chang will be getting my biz this spring for an AC install regards James Cody

this is the 4th time and second house that I have used Keith to clean the furnace ducts - this one was especially 'fun' as it is an older house (1957) with a newer retrofitted furnace. Keith pulled out a huge amount of dog hair (from the previous owner) from the ducts, completely disassembled the furnace, fixed some internal insulation issues etc etc - spent basically the entire morning at the house. Keith, thanks again for all your hard work, talk to you in a year or two regards James Cody

This is the second time I've had Keith out to service the furnace clean the ducts.... First time after a major basement development, second about 3 yrs after for a regular service. Keith is a top notch person who does top notch work... Thanks for the great service keith! Regards James Cody

When putting the A/C into service, I noticed that the compressor would occasionally cycle off, and it wasn't as cool as it should be. I looked at homestars for a highly rated service company and found Shift Air Mechanical. I called Brent and he managed to squeeze in the service call (busy season) about 10 days out. The service tech Dennis arrived on time, hooked up his gages and quickly diagnosed the problem-low refrigerant. He opened up the air plenum and sniff checked the coil, finding a small leak on a Schrader valve.... He fixed the leak, topped up the refrigerant and away we go. I highly recommend Shift Air Mechanical for any HVAC needs, it is difficult to find honest, experienced and qualified contractors in calgary, but Dennis and Brent with Shift Air are definitely the real deal...
