I would highly recommend Gordon for anyone looking to get plans drawn and even submitted on your behalf to obtain a permit. He is knowledgeable, patient, and professional. I've been trying to obtain a permit by myself (as the home owner), and it is ridiculously difficult. I just submitted my application for the THIRD time, and in anticipation of it being rejected AGAIN , I started to call around for designer or architects to take over this aspect of the reno, if needed. I called a few of them (on a Saturday), and Gordon replied, almost immediately. We spent 20 minutes on the phone just discussing the situation! I wish I STARTED this process with Gordon - I'd have a lot less stress and could spend time and effort on OTHER parts of the reno.

- Do not try to apply for building permits yourself! Spend the extra $, and hire an architect who will provide the drawings AND apply for the permit. If you've never applied before, you will be amazed how ridiculously confusing the process AND the forms are! Save yourself the aggravation and spend a bit of extra $ hiring someone who does this daily.
