Bruce was upfront about the costs and installation process. He sent a young tech and older gentleman to put in the unit (3/14/23). They did an amazing job and I am very pleased with the tank so far. It took about 5.5 hours to complete as they had to remove my old water tank, set up an exhaust to the outside of the house, and connect gas and water lines. They also installed a recirculating loop in the master bathroom. Highly recommend this. They were not very helpful with the internet connection, but Rinnai website was. My only complaints would be the very dirty and smelly drop cloths that were used and my doors being left opened everytime they went out to get something from their vehicles or to work on the exhaust at the side of the house. 

I called Dwayne to get my heater serviced as it wasn't firing at the beginning of the pool season. He sent Chris over right away. Chris was absolutely thorough in cleaning the unit, inspecting the temperature sensor and ignitor, and bleeding out the gas. He even came back when I thought I smelled gas and did a quick diagnostic to make sure everything was running smoothly. I appreciate their customer service, speed and professionalism. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone.

Repeated wind storm damage caused me to reach out to 3 different fence companies to re-build our 20-year-old fence. Dino of MG Fences quickly returned my call and arranged a time to come and give me a quote. He clearly explained the full details of the fence to me and both neighbours involved. He prepared 3 separate quotes for all 3 parties. His price was comparable to one other company and much cheaper than the 3rd (all 3 were from Homestars). Dino was also quick to respond to questions and adhered to the established quote and timeline for completing the work. The workers respected the gardens and landscaping of our backyard as they completed the new fence. My wife and I are very pleased with our new fence and are reassured by MG Fences' 5 year warranty.

My Hayward pump needed a push on crimp connector ('16). The previous one had slipped off and I couldn't properly reattach it to the wires myself. As my pump was not running and my pool water therefore not circulating, I needed someone fast. I tried the first 6 companies listed in Homestars.com under an "Electrician" in "Durham" search. Brad was able to come out earlier than any of the others. He fixed the wire in about 30 minutes and my pump ran fine. It  was more than I wanted to spend, but I had never asked him what his charge was going to be prior to the work. He was very courteous and professional. Last summer ('19) I reached out to Emmons to fix the pump as once again the wiring was not working. He charged me the same amount but the problem was never fixed properly. With rain, moisture caused the circuit to trip, which was the problem all along. I explained the problem and all he could suggest was that I go out and buy some silicone to fix the problem. I did not get the impression he was interested in coming out and fixing the problem properly unless I paid the $150 again.

I went with Terry after he came out and spent an hour, explaining and showing me samples of his work. He insisted on payment after all the work was done. On the day of the job, the crew came and laid down the tarp and set out to protect the perimeter plants that surround the house. Upon removal of the old tiles, a small plant was damaged. Terry promptly adjusted the cost to fairly compensate us. The roof looks great and I was thoroughly satisfied with the finished product. I did find a few nails around the yard a couple of days later, and when I called Terry, he personally came by with the roller magnet to do another clean up of the property. He takes pride in his work but I also appreciate the high level of service they provided me. I highly recommend Toronto's Roofing and Contracing Inc.

Dwayne did such a great job on our gas pool heater a few months ago that I thought I'd get him to start up our gas fireplace, which hasn't been used in over 10 years. He checked all the lines, thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed inside, and cleaned the glass screen, making it look brand new. Finally he took time to show us how to start the pilot and the system in the winter. We were impressed with his reliability and professionalism. Once again, Dwayne convinced us that he is the "go to" guy for our heating needs.

Dwayne squeezed me in during a very busy Saturday, on same day notice, when I needed my heater serviced. Enbridge "A" tagged my gas line because they felt my heater required a pressure relief valve. Unfortunately, Enbridge techs make money when they tag gas lines and it turned out a PR valve was not necessary. They just cite codes without really looking into the situation. Dwayne took care of the tag and now we are enjoying the pool. I highly recommend DTM because of the fast, friendly and very honest approach in which they do business.
