Alarmforce customer service department should be embarrassed of their so called "service". I have had Alarm Force for 4+ years. We had a basic system that we barely used but the monthly charges were inexpensive so we carried out a 3 year contract. We moved to a new neighbourhood and continued on a monthly basis until we seen the upgrade to exterior cameras. I called specifically asking if we could upgrade to the camera but continue on a monthly service so if the camera was ineffective or sub par I would not be locked into a contract. Sure enough, the camera is junk, there is no nice way to put it. We also have had other issues with motion detectors not working out of the blue and all motion detectors, keypad and control modules have a battery life less than a kids toy, we are constantly changing batteries. I called Customer service inquiring about a partial buy out and was immediately informed by a very rude employee this was not possible. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was put through to voicemail. I left a lengthy email addressing most of my concerns and have yet to hear back. I reviewed in detail my contract and noticed on the camera contract our address was incorrect. I phoned again the next day to tell them with a wrong address our contract should be void. Once again the same rude employee told me if we signed the incorrect contract, we take responsibility. Apparently Alarm Force is not held accountable for mistakes, only their customers. I have now called 11 times, left 1 voicemail and have sent an email. I have still not received a call or any communication from a supervisor. This has been going on for well over a week. I understand Alarm Force is trying to make a profit, but even after offering to buyout half of my contract they won't budge. I have most recently asked if they can review the recorded call to prove that I specifically asked not to be locked into a contract as that would be misleading and be a breech of contract. I was told the calls were used for training purposes only. How convenient for Alarm Force. DO NOT sign anything with Alarm Force. They are simply looking to lock people into contracts with equipment and service that is inferior to their competitors. The worst part of all of this is the fact that a Supervisor cannot have the respect for the customer to return any form of communication. It is near impossible to get passed the rude customer service reps that answer the phone. Clearly emails to customerservice@alarmforce.com are ignored as well as that form of communication is being ignored as well. STAY AWAY from Alarm Force. The least I can do is try to save others from this mistake.
