Over a year ago, I hired Swan Roofing to replace the shingles on my roof. To this day, I have not found any leaks. He and the two young men working for him seem to have done everything properly. They replaced the shingles, caulked certain areas of the roof, installed a metal valley, cleaned up well around the house, and hauled the old shingles away. On top of that, their work is guaranteed for ten years. I don't really have any major complaints to make. Perhaps they could have done a "straighter" job in some places where they put the shingles on. I have noticed that other roofers who did other similar houses on my street seemed to do a "cleaner" and "straighter" job on the shingles along the edges of the roof. Also, the shingles near the metal valley could have been "tacked down" tighter so that they are closer to the metal valley. Nevertheless, my roof has not leaked and it is over a year since the installation was done. I assume this is what counts the most.

I had purchased a 'Home Heating Plan" from Direct Energy as my furnace was older and repairs were likely to be required in the future. I found the plan to be very beneficial for me as my furnace required a number of repairs that turned out to be very expensive. Additionally beneficial, the plan included one free furnace cleaning per year. If I had to pay for the repairs myself, they would have cost far more than the $300 yearly charge for the plan. I assume that the plan is only to a customer's benefit if they actually need a furnace repair at some point. A person may never know whether they will require repairs that exceed the cost of the plan or not. If not, it is like insurance, something that you pay for but never actually use. This seems to determine whether people have been satisfied with the plan or not. My experience with calling for a repair from Direct Energy has also been very positive. I have always been treated respectfully and the service has been efficient. By service, I mean the response time and the quality of the repair made. I have no complaints about Direct Energy.

I needed windows for my home as my windows were in poor condition. Deb from TrueSeal came to my house and recommended what I needed. She is very knowledgeable and did not try to sell me something that was more expensive or that I did not need. I am very satisfied with the windows that they have sold me. Also, Ron is a good installer and the finished job looks very good. He even fixed my problematic screen door without even being asked! Nice guy. I would not hesitate to recommend this company for someone's window installation.
