I went searching HomeStars for someone to come and fix a few issues I was having on my home with bricks crumbling from water damage on my front pillar and a large pillar the city installed on my backyard fence line. After receiving 4 quotes I decided to go with Shane and True North Masonry, I spoke to Shane on the phone and told him that I was just looking for different options and that I really didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on this project. Shane came up with the perfect solution and I am glad I listened to Shane, the work he completed looks great and just what I was looking for. Shane made sure the areas he was working in were exactly how they were when he arrived and left my place spotless.

I had my kitchen renovated last May and when the winter came we found our kitchen cold all the time, the draft that came when we opened the cupboards was like standing outside and living in a semi-detached we could always smell what our neighbors were cooking. That's when I decided I needed someone to look into the problem. I put in a service request through HomeStars and sent out some quote requests on my own. I received a few quotes through emails and over the phone and received a call from Marie who indicated she was with Roofs on Homes and they were interested in the job and wanted to send someone by to take a look first hand. Marie set up an appointment for Dave to come by the next day. Dave took a look and identified some issues right away, you could tell Dave knew what he was talking about and had plenty of experience and knowledge in the roofing industry. Dave really sold me on his expertise and sounded sincere when he said they would do the job right and fix all the issues at a fair price. We came to an agreement and Dave said they could have the job completed either Monday or Tuesday of next week and it would take no more than half a day. Well Dave and his crew showed up 2 days early and I could not be more happier with the work Dave and his partner Norm completed. Dave actually showed me all the issues when it came to the venting and the insulation. and where I was losing heat from my home and where all the cold air was coming in. Dave and Norm went above and beyond to fix my issues. When they finally closed up the roof and installed the new shingles back, my wife and I were standing in the kitchen and we could notice the difference immediately. Dave and Norm made sure everything was left just the way it was when they arrived. I would really like to thank Dave, Norm and Roofs on Homes . I included some pictures of before and after, the first picture showing the incorrect vent, the next 2 pictures showing the new vent and new location and a picture of the vent piping that was installed by the builder back in 2001 when the house was first built.

My wife and I did some hard searching finding the right company to complete our perfect kitchen renovation. After having 5 different companies visit our home and receiving 5 totally different quotes we settled with Raj and Brampton Kitchens. They gave us a demolition date and the installation date that met our needs. One piece of advise make sure the demo date and the installation date are at least one week apart in case you run into issues beyond your control. Raj helped us with the total design and showed us exactly what it would look like after completion and he did not disappoint. Our kitchen looks amazing and we have a lot of people to thank for that from Brampton Kitchen. First Jas at reception who was very helpful and patient helping us pick our cupboards, the color, the handles and even helped us with the counter top. Our kitchen installation would have been delayed if it wasn't for Eduardo and Gurpreet coming to the rescue to get some necessary work completed one day before the installation date. They really saved the day. I would like to thank Mahinder and the installation team, they really take there time with the installation making sure everything is perfect and clean after they are finished and last but not least Jaz who completed the kitchen with his professional advise on the granite counter top and back splash, helping us make the perfect choice. We can't believe how the seamless counter top and back splash just adds elegance to the kitchen and just makes the cabinets stand out that much more. We just finished having our kitchen renovated and needed 2 tiles replaced and the grout cleaned up. We searched companies that did this type of work and after a few quotes decided to go with Tile & Grout Restoration. Our first visit was from Len who priced the job and informed us of the different options available to us and let us know that the technician would help us make the right decision. Len was able to accommodate our time and date and was very helpful. On May 23 our technician Greg showed up on time and very knowledgeable. He gave me a variety of different options on the grout color and what would look best with the tile. We couldn't be happier, he replaced the 2 tiles perfectly and the grout looks amazing. Thank you to both Greg and Len. We will be recommending this company to all our friends and family and will be bringing them back to restore the grout in our 3 bathrooms and front foyer.

I had a crack in one of my windows and was looking for a company to replace just the glass. I reached out to 3 different companies and Will responded within an hour. Will and his partner came by the next day and took the measurements of the window and gave me a very reasonable quote and informed me it would take a week to get the glass and as soon as they had the glass they would come and install. That is exactly what happened,they were quick and professional and made sure they didn't leave any mess behind. I would highly recommend Rosales to my family and friends and will definitely be using their service again in the future.

I am having my furnace and air conditioner replaced and was informed by the contractor it was a good idea to have the ducts cleaned before installation. Called Oakville office and was helped with a quick booking due to my circumstances with the installation just a week away. Alonso called before his arrival and was actually earlier then anticipated. Explained everything he was doing and cleaned up and left everything just the way it was when he arrived. I have had my ducts cleaned by those fly by night companies and I can say they do not come close to the job that Ontario Duct Cleaning did, you could tell the difference as soon as Alonso left. I would highly recommend Ontario Duct Cleaning to all my family and friends, they clean your ducts the way there suppose to be cleaned. Stay away from those telemarketers and $100 do everything companies.

Ryan and his team replaced my roof on October 6, 2014 and had no problems until the heavy rain on August 13th, 2016 when the water started coming through my bathroom ceiling and continues to come through as Ryan has still not shown up to fix this problem. I have been assured on many occasions that he would come by and address the problem along with any problems that this leak may have caused in my attic. I know people are busy but so am I and sitting waiting for someone to show up when they say they are coming is a complete waste of my time and very poor customer service. I never had a leak before my roof was done but I have one now and all I am asking is for Elements Roofing to stand behind their workmanship and fix the leak I didn't have before they did my roof. What ever happened to all those companies that would stand behind their workmanship and be loyal to their paying customers. It seems that everyone is just out to make a quick buck and move onto their next victim and yes that's how I feel when all you get is the run around from the owner of this company.

After recieving 4 quotes, I decided to hire Michael and his company Gold Seal Caulking and I am glad we did. From the day Michael came by and gave me the quote to the day him and his patrner arrived to do the work I knew I had hired the right company. They went over and above what I expected. The weather would not cooperate but Michael would always call and let you know that he would have to do the work another day. Their work ethic was very professional and my property was left the same way it was when they arrived, every last piece of old caulking picked up. I would highly recommend Gold Seal and Michael to all my friends and family. Once again Thanks Michael.

I needed to replace a single window in my house that did not open. I called around different window companies and received 4 different quotes. I decided to go with Canadian Choice Windows. When talking to the sales rep Igor he explained everything about the window and how the installation would be done, he was very professional in the way he explained everything, Igor promised us the window would be ready to install in 3 weeks and I wasnt going to hold my breath on that because I knew that it was only 1 window and that I would probably be pushed to the back of the line for bigger jobs. Not only did Canadian Choice keep me informed but 3 weeks to the day, Igor and Mike came and installed my new window. They did such a great job of installing it and cleaning everything up after they were finished. The window looks great and I would recommend Canadain Choice Windows to all my family and friends.

After taking our time and researching the different companies and different types of shutters, we received 5 quotes and decided to go with Marco and A Divine Design, and my wife and I couldn't be happier. Marco came right to our house did all the measurements showed us the high quality shutter his company offers and informed us on the diiference between his shutters and installation compared to his competitors. Marco let us know that it would take around 3 weeks before the shutters were ready and in 3 weeks he was at our house along with his installer Joseph installing our beautiful shutters. Both Marco and Joseph were so professional in there work and so picky to detail. I thought I was a perfectionist but Marco takes that to the next level, he was not happy until every shutter was perfectly aligned. We would not hesitate to use Marco and A Divine Design again and we would recommend them to our family and closest friends in a heartbeat. Superior Workmanship!
